Hey all,

So my local venue is holding a reverse clix tourney, where you start the character on his last click and work to his front click, and I'm looking for help with a team or solid pieces. Format is 400 points and unrestricted, though keep in mind I haven't been playing too long, so I don't have the killer expensive pieces. Any thoughts or insight?

Experienced Fire and any Human Torch from FF. Even Drax is a good choice.

They all possess that late-dial bump to really start well in this format.

Strong Guy from M&M is a beast with Imp & 5 Dam.

MM Spider-Man with Flurry & OW.

Any other figure like the above mentioned.

Hulks are always killer in these events as they end high and then drop. Carful with regen on the end though as that can really bite you.

Now Ultimate Thor ends with High damage attack and charge so that might be an option.

Now look also for figures that end with a huge defence bump, Gypsy form JL and the Superman as well (19 and 20) gypsy has Defend and that may win you the game as who can hit a 19 on their last click!

Why?

Well, Damage has 5 Damage and Pulse Wave.
Shade? Yes. Not only is he a Mystic which is just wildly useful, but you get TK from him. Push Shade a bunch early and get a bonus: Outwit and Regen! Either kick him back to the Top/End of his dial, or take advantage of an extra Outwit.

I love V Shade for all time in part because of his role in the comics (Starman) and also for having a basically perfect dial and power set.

Use them together and bomb that front-runner your opponent brings out with a Pulse Wave blast for 5 damage!

My venue is actually running the same thing tonight, although I'm not going because of the snowstorm. I was think of running Lex Luthor and Black Widow with a bunch of pogs.
Or possibly Smashing Hulk and Hector Hammond.

I agree with jackstar7 -- E Damage, with Nova Blast, is 72 points. TK him out, he detonates the Nova Blast with a 10 Attack and 5 Damage to everyone with a 4 square radius... then after two clicks he's on an 8 Attack with Quake, 15 Defense with CR, and 3 Damage... if he pushes, he's now on another Pulse Wave click with 10 Attack and 4 Damage.

U Ganthet is expensive at 281, 291 with Nova Blast, but his last click is 9 Attack and 5 Damage and 10 Range... two clicks of Nova Blast damage puts him on a 9 Attack, 4 Damage click -- but also with Running Shot and Outwit, so he can maneuver himself after being thrown out by TK for the first Nova Blast. Depending on how big the game is, he might be worthwhile as well. (Oh, and he's Quintessence, so he can't be Outwitted and doesn't take pushing damage, so he can stay on that 9 Attack, 4 Damage, Outwit, 15 Def with Invul. click as long as he can.)

U Molecule Man has an 11 Attack, Pulse Wave, 4 Damage last click. He's also got that cool item-eating special power. A Nova Blast from him puts him on a 12 Attack, 2 Damage Psy Blast click, with 19 Defense, so he can ping through whatever better defenses anyone ends up on after they get blasted right up front. And he's only 113 points, 123 with Nova Blast, so he is VERY affordable.

Black Bolt is one of my favorites to use in what we call "Bizzarro clix" at my venue. the best figure you can use BY FAR for any team is JL gypsy . 19 defense with defend on her last (in this case first) click for only 44 points.

Orion is one of my favorites for this scenario. Like others, Damage is also really good.

Atom Smasher is dynamite in this scenario if you can somehow overcome his lousy speed and boost his low DV. 3 damage Flurry with Willpower? Yeah.

Vet OR Steel rules this format thanks to natural 17 DV, 10 range, 4 damage and Outwit. Hit him and he gets better.

Also Sinister Wolverine is great. 10 attack 4 damage with exploit. Exp. Blackhawks from Origin is great too. Dont forget about CD Man of Steel with 19 defense and Defend (156 points more than the previously mentioned gypsy but he will be around alot longer.)

I've played Ultimate Thor in scenerios like this before and he did well.

What's really impressed me though, if your event is allowing it... are Sentinels.

Most Heroclix pieces end with pretty low defenses, so even a Sentinel won't have too difficult of a time capturing one. As your Sentinel continues to push or gets clobbered, his attack value and defense values will just increase, making it even easier to capture and harder to release the captives.

Another one I would like to try in one of these events is the JL Superman. Starting out with that 20 D at the end and potentially using his special power to move himself up into his more offensive clicks was something I wanted to give a try.

As well as some figs are on their later clicks, I found the most success in not being afraid to continue to "push" as they only get better.

He's the best when he starts from his last click. He starts with the same stats as his first click!

the old ultron e or v ultron are good. i think that he ends on around 12 attack
