Just curious if other than Repulsor Shield, there were any effective Feats for The Spectre?

Has anyone found any specific ones to be a "must"?

I won 3-0 in a 300 pt tourney using:

shellhead ( is a must!!! Second click is awesome!)

two of the rounds were against kc supes...

With all that built-in Willpower, Shellhead is a no-brainer to get that +2 defense when two tokens are on character.

I'm partial to Haymaker for when no objects are at hand and big hit needs to be landed; however, it's less good now that heavy objects can't combine with it.

Auto Regen is rather nice...

I played this exact team. Went 2-1 losing only to my fiancee. It was the final round. She was running Kyle Rayner and Donna Troy w/assorted feats. I shouldn't have lost, but lucky/unlucky rolls being what they are...

Protected is a must for his defensively soft mid-dial.
Inside Information is great thanks to his keywords of Detective (bye Batman) and Mystical (bye Shazam) and Justice Society (esp. given the chaining that team does). It's also so cheap you can always fit it on.

Repulsor Shield? Not a must in my book if you've got Protected. His DV is high enough that the average PB enemy won't be able to hit him easily.
Shellhead? Not a must, since he can only use it half his clicks. But if you've got room for it it's not bad, and it could really help if he gets taken the distance.

And there's Auto Regen for unrestricted. Again, not a must, since he can push damage-free, but more Regen rolls are always good.

In the tournament I played, I was able to get my +2 to attack because of the Herald Keyword against Uncle Sam. My opponent didn't realize Sam or I had that keyword, and I was barely having to make attack rolls against him. He was getting kind of ticked at my ability to have this for 4 points.

You don't need ANY feats for Spectre.

Just --

1) Roll high when Regenning.

2) ALWAYS make your Super Senses rolls.

That's what happened the last time I played against a Spectre with my Batman/Robin/Nightwing/Alfred team... he NEVER missed a Super Senses roll. All three of my main guys had Armor Piercing, too, so if I HAD hit him, I could have continued to ping him down. Heck, the Bat family got him down to his second Regen click -- then after he Regened, we just couldn't hit him any more.

I should have invested in Dissent for that game instead...

(I had Monster Hunter on Batman... GREAT card, as a lot of people don't realize it's for Colossals, Giants, AND monsters.)
