Should a new Prize Support Structer be in place??

I like 1st, 2nd, and Fellowship, but then the extra "finals" don't mean much.

I say maximize the prizes. I think Event Dials and cardboard should be participation prizes. LE figs for 1st, 2nd and Fellowship. Maybe 3rd.

Sure, it kills the rarity, which kills the resale cost, but like I always say: "If you got into HeroClix to make money, boy did you make a bad choice."

Kinda surprised at the results. I was wondering before I voted "why would anyone vote for anything other than the 1st-3rd plus fellowship option?" Guess they showed me.

In an ideal world, in my opinion, it'd be 1st, fellowship, and everyone gets a participation prize.

I'd rather have feats and BFCs be participation prizes, and figures only be for fellowship and 1st place.

I chose 1st place winner and fellowship winner from the poll above, though, since it's the closest to what I wanted.

It should be 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and Fellowship. This also helps (like previous poster said) to keep "e-bay players" in bay.

I think that one problem with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. is that it makes the last round not really matter, as one poster already said. That's just my opinion, though.

1st, 2nd, and fellowship is fine, as long as there are different figures. That way the winner could select the figure they liked most, then 2nd place and fellowship could take their picks (in whatever order was decided upon) and winning would still matter.
The problem that comes in there is that the judge would have a prize also, and what do we get? I would do whatever I was directed to do from Wizkids, and figure 90% of the time I would fine with it, but if the player prizes included a Ben Grimm LE, while I got Lonnie Lincoln, I would have a problem with that.

The more I think about it, the more I think the current structure is fine, even though I didn't vote for it. I wouldn't mind a few more participation prizes, though. Maybe one for every tournament cycle, and cardboard would be fine by me.

It should be either: 1st Place Winner, Runner-Up and Fellowship OR 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and Fellowship

Prizes are figures, preferably different with winner getting first choice. Cardboard should be reserved for participation at major events - why not have feats/pogs for people who turn up 3 out of 4 weeks etc

I think 1st and Fellowship should get the same prize. It would be nice if they sent us judges a "generic" prize as well. Like a BFC, or a reprinted feat or something. Just an extra prize.

I am always hesitant to give prize to 2nd place as it is now. In fact, I have never done it. I always let my players decide on how to give Fellowship before we play.

A generic map to give out would be nice as well. Or a WizKids Dice Set. Something to go with the price increase.

Agreed, people should get into heroclix because they like or love the game not to make money. There are other ways to make money.
I too think at least there should be 1st place, runner-up, and fellowship. It would be better if it is 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and 2 for fellowship, but as WK is doing cut backs I do not see this happening.
