will some one please settel an aurgment i am haveing with a judge
he sayes you can use running shot and energy explsion together
i say you cant because they are differant actions one is a ranged combat action and one is a power action please help

Running Shot is indeed a power action. However, it also lets you do one ranged combat action as a free action after movement is completed. That ranged combat action can be used to activate Energy Explosion, Incapacitate, Psychic Blast etc...

They can be used together because running shot requires a power action to activate, but it grants a ranged combat action as a free action (i.e. energy explosion, psychic blast or any other ranged combat action) after the movement portion of the power action.

Your buddy wins.

Running shot is a power action, that gives you a half move and a ranged combat action.

So, you spend a power action, and receive a half move and a ranged combat action.

Then you spend a ranged combat action, to do either a ranged combat attack, Energy Explosion, Psychic Blast, or Pulse Wave (all of which are ranged combat actions).

Same with Charge.

Power Action -> 1/2 move and Close Combat Action.

Ranged Combat Action -> Flurry, Exploit Weakness, Quake.

And then! There are things that only require attacks! Such as Blades/Claws/Fangs!

1) Power Action = Charge. Move at half, use your Close Combat Action to use flurry, which grants 2 attacks, which each you can make B/C/F attacks!


See? lookit it all make sense!

A little off topic but if you had two lighting bolts in that same instance could you use them (running shot 2 targets)

Sure. Multiple targets work with just about any ranged combat attack.
RCE is an exception as it states the attack needs to be against a single target, but other than that you should be good to go.
