No that doesn't work. Thing has (say) a 16 Defense. Now Reed can bump it 2 to 18. But if Thing uses the Alt FF he replaces the value with Sue's 19. The 19 can't be altered by it. Any modification is done to the Things base 16. The timing is that the Thing only gets the 19 mid action (and you can't Perplex in mid action), so anytime you modify the DV it effects the Things base 16. The exception is of course ES/D and Combat reflexes which modify mid action. Then you follow the replace and then modify rule. So a 16 DV Torch with ESD, can borrow Sues 19DV and use ESD to get the 21 from range.

It's the same timing issue as ICWO, which has alreeady been shown not to work with ALT FF

If this is about the Alt FF TA then you can bump it to a 22. You can preplex the Sue Storm LE 3 times (rule of 3) then share her modified defense because no where on the card does it say that her defense has to be unmodified.

Are you sure you can modify a value and then use it as a replacement value? That's MY question....seems like I've heard this before with Jakeem Thunder.

The card was errata'd to read "unmodified defense value" almost immediately. You share what's printed.

Heh....I went up against Deadpool 55's 800 point FF team with the new FF set and the old LE's with two Reed Richard Brilliant Tacticians. I had Icons Supes, KC Flash, and Ultimates Thor.....I made 0 kills haha. Darn Theme-Team Probability Controls! 22 defense is killer
