OK I have not tried to do this yet but I was wondering if it would be legal or not (I'll just use figure names to simplify things)

OK say I have Ms Marvel in square 5 and Lightning Lad in square e
my opponent moves the Sentry into square 2 basing Ms Marvel and blocking LOF to him from Lightning Lad
(my Question) since I don't think Ms Marvel can do anything to the Sentry (say she's on her last click) and I'd really just like to shoot him with Lightning Lad, is it legal to move Ms Marvel to square 3 without a breakaway roll since she is still adjacent to Sentry????

It is indeed legal to move Ms Marvel to square 3, however, a breakaway roll would still be required. The destination square is irrelevant when determining wether a breakaway roll is necessary. If you start a move action based with an opposing figure, and you don't have any powers that allow you breakaway automatically, then a breakaway roll is necessary. You could theoretically, have Ms Marvel move through squares 3, 6 and back to 5, but a breakaway roll is still necessary.
Thanks Guys, didn't think that one would float.... but I had to ask anyway

While correct rules wise, I think the logic of this is somewhat lacking
If the tables were turned and Sentry or the Hulk had to break away form (insert extremely wimpy click name here) it would still require a roll while in reality the bigger hero would swat them like a fly.
Thinking in comic terms got me to this question in the first place, (scenario) you are grappling with someone, you can't quite break free but you can re-position yourself to let an ally assist you and now the breaking away situation is working to your advantage instead of a disadvantage.
as to the stepping on figures thing, interesting concept, but my opponent might not be too happy
