We had the situation come up last weekend where I had Outwitted Morbius's "The Hunger" special power and Morbius flurried anyway. I think the ruling the judge made may have been wrong, but the wording on the powers in question muddles the answer a bit.

Nick Fury (Sinister) OWed Morbius's Hunger (2nd click on Fury, the monster click). Morbius flurried in return, missed the first shot and connected on the second. Fury lost OW.
Because of the bolded text in Outwit's description, the judge ruled that Hunger would return immediately and Morbius was healed of 4 clicks. I think that had Morbius connected on the first shot, he would have regained Hunger and not healed, then healed if he hit the second time. I also think that Morbius would have regained Hunger after Nick lost OW, but because damage is dealt first, Morbius would heal differently.
I'm a lotta bit confuzzled here. Any input would be appreciated!

I don't think Morbius should have healed. I'd wait for someone else's answer, but it seems that Morbius is still outwitted during the flurry. Now if the first attack hit, then the second I would agree with the judge, but if only the second attack hits then I'm 99.99% positive that Morbius wouldn't gain hunger back until after the damage was done (which outwit was still happening before the damage).
I think I disagree with the general consensus and agree with the judge. While it makes sense that the Steal Energy would not return, the power clearly states that if an outwitting character loses outwit the outwitted powers return immediately, not after the resolution of whatever actions are in play. I think the ruling was right, even if it does not make the most sense logically.
Steal Energy triggers at the time the target takes damage. Nick Fury would not have lost Outwit until after he took damage. Since his Outwit is lost after taking the damage, it's too late for Morbius to heal from Steal Energy.

I've thought this all along, but you definitely worded it best.
