While it is a very intriguing dial, there are better ways to spend 200 pts. He's kind of a sitting duck, and although mystics helps, he's just too vulnerable at range. Stealth cracks him up pretty good, and although the phasing/plasticity stymies it, without any damage reducers up front you get him deep in his dial pretty quick. He's fun to play but not very practical in 300 pt. games. Hell, for 41 more pts. I can get a Chase Supes out there!
Nothing at all like the Common figure he shares a sculpt with, Crispus Allen looks like a fun piece to run. But despite his vast power, he's not necessarily going to hang with his weight class all that well, thanks to several minor (if not game-breaking) weaknesses.
God is smarter than we are....

People are always Put off but those opening two clicks. But with 7 straight clicks of outwit, Mystics TA, Great Damage, AV's and 3 clicks of late dial Impervious. I just had to give this a shot. and I played him in a 400 point game with Deathstroke and Nightshade. And Well, I don't know what to tell you. I Won the game but Crispus Allen never got moved off his first click, he was only attacked twice, and made his Super Senses roll both times. I just sort of hung him back, Outwitted and hit guys for 4. Deathstroke soaked up alot of damage and Nightshade was KO'd.
I really can't wait to play this guy, he looks like a blast. I feel like I should feat him up a bit, but at 197 points with no move attack, it's risky. Trick Shot and Stunning Blow are the 2 I'd most likely be inclined to throw on him. Shellhead and Protected might be another combination. How about Fortitude? Nanobots would be great, just push to that 2nd click, then Nanobot back to the top. So many possibilites, although I'd hate to over feat him, he just needs that little bit extra to make him awesome (IMO).
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
If only he had plasticity and phasing on his last 2 clicks so he could reach anyone and prevent them from running away from his flurry/bcf - then he'd be monstrous! Anyways, I hope I roll a lot of super-senses and invulnerability rolls when I finally get mine, because if I don't, he could drop quick for the points ...
Whats with that second click??? Not a pushing friendly first click, but on the other hand, a good hit will put him in his Invuln/Imperv clicks, so if you can keep him away from the serious bruisers, he would be a beast I think. He has a nice set of powers, could be fun to play if you field him with some brains.
