No errata was done on him before Wizkids was closed. Normaly, yes you always go by the dial over the card. In this situation, he might end up being one anyway once the rights are settled and a new errata is released The Wizkids gallery did list him as a Calculator, which means one of two things.
A. The card was missprinted
B. They just left it off the dial and he gets it ala Conner Kent.
My sugjestion? Ask your Judge to make the call if he has it or not.
As a judge, I have been flip-flopping on how to rule this. On the one hand, he was probably meant to have Calc. I does make sense. On the other hand, his point value is still pretty good even without the TA, and the rule of thumb has been to believe the dial over the card.
On the other other hand, I am ruling that Frankenstein has his Special Power where Super Strength is showing.
The rule is that the dial supersedes everything in the absence of any errata. There is no errata entry, so he does not have the TA.

Frankenstein was definitely ruled to only have Super Strength. GD confirmed that he at one point had the special power, but it was removed from the character, AND the cost was changed accordingly.
I see no reason to doubt that the same thing occurred with Grodd.
I ruled it that he has it as well. If it wasn't in the gallery as a Calculator, I'd go the other way. But he was entered as a Calculator in the gallery, and has it on the card.
The lack of errata... well, frankly? There was no indication at the time that we would even receive Grodd LEs at the time of WK's closure. So why publish an errata for a figure that wasn't coming out until January/February?
Bottom line... use it how you want. There isn't a central authority to confirm/deny it. I would say the local judge has the jurisdiction to say either way.

I would say he doesn't have it, for one simple reason...
None of the other Sinestro Corps have a TA.
Grodd isn't really a member though, even if he has the keyword
You're good. But I'm magic!

The problem is that a lot of new players come from the "race generation" they want to define their worth by the "skill" they posses in playing a game of toy soldiers.

Thing is Grodd wasn't opperating in the Sinstro Corps when he got the ring. He was with the Legion of Doom and other DC villians working with Lex and Braniac. He only got the Sinestro Corps keyword since he was using a copy of Sinestro's ring. So, him having the TA does make sense, even if all other Sinestro Corps members (except the SCAM) don't have TAs.
