If nbperp has voiced his opinion in an older thread before he was made rules arbiter, does that opinion now become official? I'm thinking of the thread below that deals with Lunge and Rip it Up:
There were good arguments for and against, but this is how nbperp weighed in:

Other cases you mention - like Flurry - it would totally work with.
With the new Spider-Man, who has the requites for both Rip it Up and Lunge, this is a combo that I may want to play to help him bust invulnerability.
Even when he was the RA before, his "opinions" were never law.
To the best of my knowledge, unless the ruling was crystal clear, he would always get his answers from GD before making a ruling. He may have expressed an opinion or expectation, but I am pretty sure that he always made it clear when that was done.

Thanks
As far as I know, Norm was never the "Rules Arbiter."
(Insert your own "biter" joke here)
He was Rules Arbitrator before WK went under, during the hiatus he was never officially declared to no longer be the Rules Arbitrator by anyone (well, possibly by his wife, but that is just conjecture) and recently the NEW WK has officially declared he will be their Rules Arbitrator and Chief Judge.
I still haven't heard a definition of "Chief Judge" and he was at our most recent Heroclix game at Family Game Store and was not wearing any sort of regalia indicative of a chief, so I can't say much about that part.
But the Rules Arbitrator he was and is.
Whether he was opining as Rules Arbitrator during the hiatus or not, who can say?
I guess we'll have to consult the Rules Arbitrator.
Or perhaps the Chief Judge will have an answer...

I wold say no, since when he posted them, they were his oppinions. Now that he is the RA, he does have to pick what he says is official vs what he says is an oppinion.

Well, your 'opinion' on the HeroClix rules has and always will carry great weight with me, Norm.
Sounds like someone wants +1 to their rolls.
LOL

Nah. Norm has been the 'guy behind the computer' for me at several tournaments, and he's pretty good at that. I'm not a 'touchy-feely' kind of guy, so the above (as I'm sure Norm knows) is as glowing a recommendation as anyone is ever like to get from me.
