Blackest Night, meh. I have no interest in "DC Zombies", but I guess I'll have to read this frickin' travesty just to know what's happening to the JSA, as well as the regular JSA book due out this week.

I have been feeling the same way about Blackest Night and have been considering dropping the story altogether. When I saw that this issue highlighted John Stewart, though, I picked it up.

While I am not sure it is quite as bad as Max says, it really wasn't anything to get excited over. It really feels like Johns is simply throwing everything he can think of into the fire to exacerbate the threat, regardless of its actual worth to the story being told.

I find now that my anticipation for the next chapter of Blackest Night is nowhere nearly as big as my anticipation for the end so that we can move on to some other stories. This one has already been dragged out too long.

We're talking about two different books; I was referring to issue #1 of the JSA:Blackest Night mini.

Well, he's a Blue Lantern now, so I guess he needs that ring to be a GL. I liked the other choices, except Kyle should've been Hope and someone else besides Mera for Rage (like Guy. Oh wait...). WW was okay for Love (though she just kinda looks like Carol Ferris in armor), and Atom looks plain weird.

I kinda understand why Mera got the Red ring, having lost her husband and seeing Temptest killed in front of her, but I just don't see her being full of rage. Wonder Woman would have been a better Red Lantern.

Yeah I guess since its a temporary Ring its for temporary feelings

The ray costume reminds me of his Sword of the Atom Costume.
