I was having trouble finding the answer to this question via searching the forums, so hopefully I'm not taking unneeded space. But, a friendly game of mine caused an interesting question to come up:
Can you Outsiders a character that has superstrength, so that when they attack with an object, they don't get the +1 or +2 damage modifier? I can't find the language for the Outsiders Team Ability at the moment, but I was pretty sure I'd heard that since the object is granting the damage modifier and not the superstrength power, Outsiders won't work in that way.

Thanks for any assistance.
"Once at the beginning of your turn as a free action, an
Outsiders team member on your force may choose a
target friendly or opposing character. The team
member must be within 10 squares of the target and
have a clear line of fire to the target. Until the
beginning of your next turn, the target’s combat values
can’t be modified by powers or team abilities. This
team ability can’t be used by wild cards."
If you outsider someone with SS and they are carrying an object it does not affect the +1/+2 to damage from the object since it is not a power or team ability.
It would prevent them from getting +2 damage when attacking walls though.

No. Outsiders prevents modifiers from powers or TAs, but the modifier in this case is coming from an object (which is neither a power or TA). Outsiders would prevent the bonus to damage that Super Strength characters get when destroying walls/terrain/objects, though.

All TA descriptions can be found in the player's guide (in the Units section).

Oh, I didn't think of looking at the players guide. Thanks for the help!
