I was wondering if anyone out there has heard anything about the new sets for the actionclix. Seeing as how the main heroclix line is looking filled for the rest of the year I was curious as to what the speculations might be. I am hoping for and its a long shot, but maybe one set could be nothing but Marvel Zombies. I understand that there was supposed to be a Wolverine Alpha set but how much can you do with a Wolverine set and not go off into Xmen and Alpha Fight sets?

Its hard these days as it was in the beginning to score any of the MZ's from Supernova and I would like to have a full set of the undead Marvel universe. Who knows, if they did that they would have to respond for DC with a Blackest Night Actionclix set. I don't know what to think at this point. I just remember seeing the article about AC being revamped and was hoping for gold, I see AC as the secondary mass produced set which keeps players interested while they are playing around with the main, core sets and while also bringing in more players. Its all speculation and wishful thinking but I would like to get some feedback as to whats being said and whatnot.

Well you can't have Marvel Zombies without their leftovers coming back to life. So I would expect a set like that to have generic zombies.

When asked about Actionclix in a Q&A blog post on the Wizkids site, I believe that there was a one word answer regarding Actionclix: Reload.

I infer from that that they are planning on doing something with it, but it could be an entirely new system completely incompatible with what has already been done.

Time will tell, but it may be a long time before we hear anything. I know that I am not holding my breath. If it isn't compatible with Heroclix or an absolute favorite whatever it is, I am not planning on buying anything else clix.

If Actionclix is rebooted as a great game, I may buy and play it. I actually like Halo Actionclix a lot, and I know nothing about the Halo franchise.

I'm not too interested in the superhero zombies, honestly, so I'd love to see them in their own set. That way, the people who like them could get them easily and others wouldn't end up with a bunch of undead.

That said, does anyone know how Batman Alpha did? Themed sets seem quite risky, as they'll be harder to sell to people who aren't fans of the stories they're based on. Marvel Zombies wouldn't be able to do well without a very large fanbase. (I have no clue how the fandom is; maybe it has enough. I don't know).

If you want monsters and what not, you could always try Horrorclix. I'm pretty sure Wizkids mentioned it coming back from the dead (I hope...also, pun intended). Did anyone here used to play constantly like I did?

Honestly the only way I would play Horrorclix was when we mixed them with heroclix. I didnt get the enjoyment I got from horrorclix I got from heroclix. My marvel zombie envy is do to the rarity of the supernova zombies and the lack of reprints that came from M&M, that set didnt promise much of what it was intended to put out. Its hard to find people who play horrorclix and finding people who will mix the zombies in even more so.

I played a sealed Horrorclix tourney at Dragoncon when it first came out, and then I bought the Alien and Predator packs, but I have played 5 times or less.

There are aspects that I like, but neither it nor Actionclix were more enjoyable to me overall than Heroclix, and they didn't offer characters that I liked as much, either.
I kind of liked having a few cards in your hand that you could play to try and change the game in Horrorclix, and I liked the numbered slots in Actionclix. Yeah, that's kind of weak, but as long as they are using the pie slots, I really wish that they would do it for Heroclix, too. I Don't think that I would want the cards to be introduced into Heroclix at this stage, though. We kind of have them in the form of disposable feats, anyway.

Marvel Zombie Heroclix figures are unlikely unless Marvel changed its decision about limiting the MZ merchandise to comics.

"Marvel has put a moritorium on any further Marvel Zombie merchandise of any kind. Marvel was concerned about the negative image seeing their major characters would have on the public so they pulled the plug on any further Zombie products."

Some of the newer Heroclix components were taken from Horrorclix.
Character cards, Giants carry,and minions for example.
Heroclix and Horrorclix were already getting closer together.
With a little work on the dials (for the most part Hero has an unfair advantage), they will one day soon playing on the same board as another option to this ever growing game.(with a year hiatus)

I hope if they do Actionclix with a focus on sets devoted to Robert E. Howard, Star Trek or Edgar Rice Burroughs. Leave zombies for Horrorclix.

What you said. It would be great to get a short ton of Horrorclix figures to use as various forms of fodder for Heroclix.
