The War of the Light comes to HeroClix with the DC HeroClix Blackest Night Starter Game! As the Blackest Night encompasses the world, heroes and villains alike are deputized into the Lantern Corps to fight back against the legions of Black Lanterns. Choose a team of lanterns and take them into battle! This starter game includes everything a player needs to play HeroClix, including figures, map, rules and more. For those keeping track, the Blackest Night Starter Game is the first completely new HeroClix product from WizKids/NECA! One of the new things we’re doing is super-high resolution digital sculpting. The Green Lantern figure was sculpted by Ben Misenar. I’ve seen the final production versions of some of Ben’s digital sculpts, and the digital to 3D translation is 99.99% perfect. Stay tuned for more figure images!

Ganthet got gipped, then? Annoying, because it'd have been nice to have a team of all 7 deputies.

Another very nice sculpt for Hal, the 9th time he is represented in Heroclix.
I'll wait to see the dial before I know if there is a real reason for excitement.

I was so hoping for a "new" Lantern. We got such nice dials for Hal and Kyle recently, and Guy's not hideous....why not a new John Stewart? Or as Cassius suggested a "deputy" Ganthet? (Although, that's a head-scratcher--Ganthet is an immortal Guardian, home-based on Oa for thousands of years, and he's only a *deputy* GL?!?)

Still, as sculpts go...wikkid pizza awesome! The Crisis sculpt was adequate, but THIS is more like it !

Lets show a bit of love here, people. This Starter is gonna be as fun as you make it. If you make your mind up now that it sucks balls, before even giving it a go, of course its gonna suck balls...
