o after a long time away from HC ive walked back to a world of retired and dated figures that no longer are even worth picking to be on a team.
it seems a lot of figure have either been neglected. or the classic power creep has snuck up lol.
but alas i find myself looking at a rather bleak selection for the brotherhood of evil mutants.
so i try and do what i know best
and make some mods

ive already started making a new blob as well as a sabertooth figure.
and want to also make a new toad
mystique
and avalanche
so i was wondering who needs new dials?
or if im missing anyone of any note?

blob definately requires a custom dial
as well as toad

also i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for figures to use
as im not as clued up on the figures in circa anymore. all i have is my masses of older figures and im not really clued up on dc figures either

also if anyone has any ideas for the brotherhood dials then all is welcome.

Well, if you just want to update the dials on the old figures, I did a few in this thread. Blob plays alright. He's still not awesome, but for the points it's somewhat hard to make that happen.

Also, Volstagg would make a solid Blob. Damage output's rather high, but the rest would suit Dukes I think.

Armor Wars Mystique is still pretty good. I haven't looked, but one of the Skrulls might work for her as well. For Sabretooth, I'd suggest either Shatterstar or SI Iron Fist.

Until official stated otherwise, no. There is still the status of retired and legal. Most places just choose not to use it for tournaments because the game's back and allowing more figures tends to lead to better turnout I would think.

I had a Toad fig put on a "First Class" Beast dial - suits the classic Toad pretty well and has the Mutant keyword.
Volstagg's dial can certainly be a decent fill in for the Blob, but the darn thing is pretty rare, so that's a problem.
The newer Wanda and Pietro from Avengers are fine, and the MM Mastermind as well.
Add in a more recent Magneto dial (the "newer" ones are all still pretty good) and just put that classic IC fig on top and you're good to go!

i was actually looking at a custom dial maybe for blob. it seems very debatable about what he is good at or bad at in some cases...yup he shouldnt be hard to hit.but then the hurting part its the difference. i see him as being a secondary attacker and good tie up piece. (he has given the xmen a lot of trouble for at least a few panels of comic book) no more than 100 points i would say.
but of course ive been away from the game for a long while so what the heck do i know
as for the fig. its coming along nicely. and he's HUGE like the first sculpt should of been in my opinion

as for toad. i couldnt see him being no more than 50 points. leap/climb. pestering piece that just jumps around being annoying.
as for what figures ill use. im not sure yet.

mystique i was going to use her VET version. its not a bad dial even by todays standards.
im sure it could be improved.
again not sure what im going to use for the mod yet

You make the figs, I'll make the dials (maybe throw them into the Dark Reign project). Sound like a deal?

does anyone have any good images of toad? i have no idea what he looks like these days. only recent image i found he looked more like leo sayer with an afro with big glasses on. he seems to change the way he looks so often im not sure which version to make

If we are talking about figures that already exist as clix i would love to see mods of Magneto, Spiral (Freedom Force), Black Tom (in plant form) and Pyro.

New Brotherhood figures that would be great to see are Post, Mammomax, Exodus, Martinique Jason (could be on a mastermind dial).

Other X-men villains that would be great are:

Nasty Boys
Marauders
Acolytes

yes that was the look i was refering to with toad. im not liking that pimp freak look at all. i think i will go with the classic looking toad.
i do like the ultimates toad look much better. but i really am not a fan of any of the ultimates stuff at all. so yup im gonna go with a classic look. but something better than that nasty little thing that we saw in CT.

i do have a pyro and magneto planned also, and will be writting up a painting basics upon completion of Blob
