ok everybody is saying "why cant we have the leaders first" & "why did they put the deputies in the starter".

well the release date of the starter is in may & B&tB is april.

in my opinion the deputies bein in the starter makes more sense cuz of this.
cuz evryone is saying they want the leaders 1st, which WK understood that people wud say that, so they made the starter after B&tB which will have larfleeze, atrocitus, & all the others.

You are likely correct. It's highly likely B&B will have Atrocitus, Larfleeze and Saint Walker. Possibly Sinestro too, but we just had him in Arkham Asylum, so probably not.

I do think that we might get some of the leaders in BatB (and I will be beyond super psyched if we do), but if we don't, I see that as evidence that the set after BatB will be Blackest Night/Brightest Day themed.

The reason most suspect we wont see the leaders in B&TB is that this set was finalized under Wizkids which shut down before they basically revealed anything.
So we could have
Hal (no need)
Sinestro (we just got)
Atrocitus (he just appeared and might make the cut off)
Star Sapphire (She was around Corps hadnt been seen much)

Cant Get Brother Walker (appeared right at time of sale)
Indigo (appeared after sale)
LarFleeze (could appear but only thing known about him was his look at time of sale)

When was BatB announced?

I know most of the corps debutted around December 2007, but Larfleeze didn't until April 2008. Still he is on that one screen of the monitor on that one dude's desk with all the clix on it, so we can only hope.

And I don't think Saint Walker is the leader of the Blue Lantern Corps, I think he's more like the Torch Bearer. I think the leaders are Sayd and Ganthet to be honest.

Atrocitus has been on Boneyard's list for ages regarding Brave & The Bold. I can see him showing up, but as pointed out Larfleeze is borderline at best. My argument? No reason we couldn't get Laira, Despotellis, Salaak, or a new Kilowog or John. I've crossed my fingers for any of the above. If they don't pop up, I'll do some modding after B&B comes out. I'll be disappointed, but I won't be among the "this is a travesty" crowd.

I'm simply wondering why it matters at all.

1) The people howling about this will buy the starter anyways, regardless of what figures are in it.

2) It's a STARTER set.
Meaning it's (presumably, slightly more) aimed at people not already in the game.
So of course it's going to have a handfull of characters in it that don't individually blow the lid off of what the rule book tells you the normal sized game is (assuming the 300 pt limit is kept)& are fairly matched. Afterall, how much fun do you think the new person & a buddy would have if, right out of the box, all they could field was but 1 fig apiece????

I agree with you completely. That is why i was sort of on the fence about a Green Lantern Starter Set. I'm a huge GL fan and am always excited about adding to my GL Clix collection but I was worried that with this set:

1) Leaders would not work well with the point values of each, or they would have to "dumb down" special powers that would really be needed to make each leader's skill sets accurate and unique.

2) That the Set would be made accurately and that figures would be to complex to draw new players in. It can be overwelming for new players just starting out to remember the Powers and Abilities not to mention now we have traits and Special Powers.

I wish they would go back to doing some of the Collectors Sets. Someone on here wrote that they thought that Larfleeze would make an awsome Collector's Set with like 7 of his orange constructs. I thought that was a fantastic idea. I hope I rep'd that guy for his idea!

I think we will get a few in BatB but I am more excited about the possibility of a Blackest Night/Brightest Day set. Here's to getting a Kilowag and John Stewart remake in BatB and a BN/BD DC set latter this year
