I want to make sure I get this right before I try to take the best of it in this we tornament.
Here's how the Ambush feat is spelled :
So it's perfectly legal to assign Ambush to, let's say, Elektra from SI (the human version) since its Assassin SP allows her to use Stealth.
In a discussion concerning Traits and Outwit, it has been said that you cannot counter a Trait that allows the character to use a power, because the Trait itself can't be countered and because the character doesn't actually possess said power.
And here's the question : Since Elektra doesn't possess Stealth, but can only use it through Assassin (which is NOT Stealth), can she make a close-combat attack at +2 (using Ambush) and still use Stealth afterward ?
I'd say yes, but I'd rather be sure on this one (I can see quite a few cheezy things to do if it works)

Absolutely. Consider playing Ambush on Ms Skrullvel.

I though about Elektra with Lunge and Ambush to get the better of the +2 (on EACH flurry attack since she's still using Stealth) or on Cloak & Dagger (paired with the duo attack ability, since its attack value is a bit low). Hadn't though of Miss Skullvell (nice name, by the way) but I see the cheese...Especially paired with an Hold the Line...

Great idea. I like the evilness! Just wicked I say. I'll pull this one off at a tourney.

Another good way to use Ambush and still keep the Stealth is place it on a wildcard with Stealth (like Taskmaster or Deathstroke) and then use the Batman TA. Or an Avenger with Stealth using T-Bolts (to Batman TA).

That was my next question : Can I use the Stealth use granted by the Batman TA to activate Ambush if the character can be assigned the feat ?

I figured that I'd add this. It came up at my venue last week.


You can also cancel Stealth on the action and still use Ambush.

But it would still be countered afterward then, am I right ?
Or is there a ruling preventing a canceled power from being countered ?
