Am I right in thinking the power grants the use of the duo attack ability?

For example, if an opponent were to Outwit the duo attack ability on BM&CW, would they still be able to use Double Pounce to make a duo attack? Even to, say, move zero squares then attack?

If it's not the intention of GD, would an errata to change the wording to "may use their Duo Attack ability as a free action" fix it?

Given the wording i'd say it does. Compare Black Adam's "Fury enough to destroy countries" which says "if he can use CCE or Exploit..."

Obviously it wasn't supposed to though.

Based on the errata we've been told is coming for the Blue(?) Lantern about how it does not grant the ability to use TK, then I would say the following.

As written, I agree that it would allow it to be used even if the one granted from the symbol is countered. I would also expect that an erratum for this would be coming to undo what is written.
