If I thunderbolt him to Fantastic Four, then use the Fantastic Four ATA, does that give everyone 20 defense? [assuming he's on his first click?]
On a related note.. if a wild-card copies Fantastic Four, does that click gain the defense bonus? or does it have to be a figure with a printed Fantastic 4 Team ability?
Also.. if i Thunderbolt a whole slew of Avengers, can they all gain the bonus from the Fantastic Four ATA?
Thunderbolts requires you to pick a t/a and it can't be one that "can't be copied" ATA's can now be copied. Why can't you just Thunderbolt directly into FF alternate team.

The Team Abilities on the PAC exist at all times. The Team Abilities from ATAs only exist when that card is played.

I seem to remember reading that in the near future, ATAs will no longer be feats. Therefore, not require a feat card to be played. If and when this is the case, it may be possible to copy ATAs by using the Tbolts ATA. Just have to wait and see I guess.
I may be wrong on that assumption. ATAs may still be feats, they will just be a slightly different type of feat, since they will be the only legal feats in the modern age format. Wish they would release the new ATA rules asap. Clear up the guesstimating on how it will all work.

They won't be feats, but they will still be cards that you will be playing in a similar fashion to feats. Again, they will not be on the PAC, so they won't exist unless hte card is played.
(as for the new ATA rules)
I might be mistaken but I think the New Rulebook includes the ATA rules...
ATAs are no longer Feat Cards they are ATA Cards.
p. 17 Blackest Night Rulebook:
Quote
ALTERNATE TEAM ABILITIES
Alternate Team Ability (ATA) cards can be added to your force if the characters on your team meet the prerequisite listed on the card. Each ATA card indicates the cost per character that must be added to your force in order to use it in the game. ATA cards provide either different or additional team abilities to the qualifying characters on your force. These team abilities are possessed by the qualifying characters and can be used by wild cards (unless the ATA specifies otherwise). A force may only include one ATA card.

Also if you really thing about it, the ATA's are not team ability's.
They are Additional Team Ability's(and she be considered as much rather than Alternate.)
So as you can see they are not even team ability's. they are either Additional or Alternate Team Ability's.

Oh, they ARE team abilities.
A Corvette is a Corvette.
A red Corvette is a Corvette.
A little, red Corvette is a Corvette.
If they were not team abilities, then WCs could not copy them.
