We are looking at a few properties that are VERY compelling yet, the depth of characters just doesn't lend itself to a full blown 50+ figure set. So my question to you all is -
How do you feel about 6-18 figure sets being sold as?
1 Figure booster @ $3 or $4
2 Figure booster @ $6 or $7
The boosters would be blind.
Assume equal rarity across all figs.
Assume new content
Assume compelling property
For the sake of this discussion - assume 6 pack/starter is off the table (excuse the pun).
Drop your input in this thread. I would have just created a poll but I wanted to get the assumptions out in the open.
The 1 figure booster is VERY intriguing to us as it is a perfect SKU for the mass market (small footprint, lower price point, budget friendly, etc)
Keeping the hobby product offering the same ### the mass market offering is really what I am asking. If we offered it, would you but it?
If you getting stuck on the assumptions - Answer this.
If the Blackest Night figures were offered as 1 packs, would you but them?
I appreciate your frank commentary - no rants, please.

If I was going to only have 6 - 18 figure sets, 1 or 2 piece blind boosters is not the way to go to. I'd just buy the individual figures on eBay instead of buying blind boosters and ending up with a billion extras trying to complete a 6-18 figure set.
In my opinion, make them collector sets like the Marvel 2099, Danger Room, Days of Future of Past sets, etc. Make them $20 to $50 based on the size of the set....
... and throw in a couple exclusive 3-D Objects... and you have yourself a deal.
I would think the 2-figure booster would be a better way to go, but depending on the licensing, I would definitely buy a one-figure booster especially if there is equal rarity, and some of the pieces could be used as generics especially.
For example, if say something like Terminator or Spawn became available, I would definitely buy small boosters if that was the only way they were produced.
I'm sure a lot of people would buy from the secondary market, but that happens with every expansion.
I personally wouldn't have bought the Blackest Night figs as one-figure boosters because I'm not a fan of Blackest Night, but again, if it's anything I like, I would definitely buy them that way. I did buy the Blackest Night set though, mostly for Wonder Woman, Atom, and the rules/objects.
Would I buy Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Spawn, V for Vendetta, or Astro City as one-figure boosters? YEP!!!

$3 or $4 on a 1 figure blind booster? Not a chance, would much rather go to the secondary market to get them rather then buying one or two figure packs.
on the other hand I love what you did with the Watchman set, although I dont like the property I love the idea. I would love to see a stylish box set of say Batman Hush in a book style box decorated with Jim Lee art, or an Avengers Assemble set, etc. For small sized sets I would much rather buy it as a set rather then taking chances on blind boosters, especially small boosters.
If I can buy a case and guarantee I get the full set, then I would buy the 1 figure boosters assuming:
a) The cards would not be trashed
b) The properties are as compelling as you say.
c) The price point is low - $3.00 a figure is not low. $2.00 is more reasonable for a single figure.
d) There really is equal rarity among the figs.
If the figures are compelling enough, I would buy multiples after the case to fill things out as well as for my Gamer's Kids (whom I'm always looking for good deals for). I direct the parents to Target or our Local Game Shop and the Iron Man mega-packs as a good way to get started (or, to fill out, the Battle Packs) before the blind boosters of Brave and the Bold - though their excitement at drawing an SR is amazing.

Not really liking the options here. I would think that 6-18 figure sets would be best offered as a boxed set. If you want to offer 2 figure boosters at mass as a secondary option fine.
