Iron Man Mod - With working lights! & Punisher Mod
I wanted to show off my Iron Man and Punisher mods. My friend Stryphe here on the Realms is a genius and a great modder. He has created some of the finest mods I've ever seen. (I'll have to get pics of all of his mods to post).
Thank you Stryphe! You kick ###!
PLEASE NOTE: These pictures don't do true justice to either one of these mods. I'm not a photographer and I wasn't using a professional camera.
The detail on Iron Man is superb up close. His rivets throughout his body are painted metallic silver, his red is two shades of red, to accent shadowing, and with a very cool metallic red as the main color. To truly appreciate the detail, you'd have to see it in person.
And yes... the camera does not deceive you! His repulsor rays and his eyes are glowing with tiny lights implanted in his body.
Same for the Punisher. He actually has a very realistic 5 o'clock shadow for facial hair, and the small details on him are amazing.
The only thing I have to do is touch up his feet and the base a bit.
Here is the premise behind the sculpt for the Iron Man pose:
He's in a graveyard, surrounded by enemies, backed into a corner like a rat. But this rat fights back! Like a gun fighter at the O.K. Corral, his repulsors are charging up to repel the oncoming onslaught of enemies, who completely have him surrounded, and backed up against a tombstone. His eyes glow with rage and determination, ready to go out with a fight!
Now for the pictures. I present to you, the INVINCIBLE Iron Man!
The Punisher is my second favorite character. And Stryphe did a superb job on this one. I wish I had higher-res pics to show the small details, such as his 5 o'clock shadow, and the intricate details in his clothing.

Thanks! I'm using him and the Punisher in tonight's tournament, along with War Machine FCBD, and the IC LE Ant-Man and IC Unique Wasp. Have Hold the Line on the Wasp. Playing a scenario called Techno Crazy.

Thanks! I'm happy with the work that Stryphe did for me.

The lights are from a model railroad shop. Iron Man was cut in two, and tiny holes were hand-drilled from his feet, up his legs to his torso, and lights were wired through his arms and up to his head.
His hands are the hands from the Rookie Weapon Alpha, his repulsor ray energy is from two Dr. Spectrums, and were trimmed down to represent the plasma. The pillar contains the AAA alkaline battery. The top of the pillar contains the connection to power him. The pillar is made of hand carved wood, and weathered to give it that old graveyard stone look.
Can't go wrong with that Iron Man. I've seen similar treatments of the Punisher (same sculpt) done before, but the paint apps look pretty damn clean. Good stuff!
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
Very nice work. I don't do modding, but seeing this kind of work makes me want to learn how and start doing some stuff of my own! Now all we need is an Iron Man like your avatar.
That Shellhead is so incredible it makes me have to pee. I can't stand it. I'm so impressed (and jealous)!
At first I thought that pillar behind him was a weird addition for an Iron Man piece, but then I saw the thing about the battery. That's genius! Do you know how long you can leave the lights on?

Thanks! Appreciate the kind words. I know I said it in a previous post, but I wish I could show the Punisher in person, as justice is not served in those pics on the minute details. But I guess the pics don't look too bad.

LOL! Thanks for the kind words.
The lights are good for about 1,000 hours or so. Once they burnout there is no replacing them.

Their isn't a switch per se, but the cap to the pillar that houses the AAA battery works as the switch. To turn it off, just pop off the gargoyle cap, and the lights go out.
