OMEGA EFFECTS: Before Darkseid makes a ranged combat attack, you can choose any or all of the following options for the attack: 1) Darkseid's range value is halved and his line of fire ignores characters and hindering terrain; 2) Modify Darkseid's damage value by -2; damage from this attack is penetrating damage; 3) Darkseid's damage value is 0; if the attack succeeds, put the target in any unoccupied square within Darkseid's range to which he has a clear line of fire.
If you have a figure with Enhancement standing next to Darkseid when he uses Option 3 of his Omega Effect, would it do 1 damage and move the character? After all, it says his damage value becomes zero, not that it does no damage. I'm looking for confirmation that I'm on the right track or explaination as to why that would not work in that manner. Thank you in advance and I apologize if someone else has already asked this question before.
His damage becomes 0. Does not matter if he is modified or not, as his damage is 0. Can you mind control with enhance and get damage through? Nice try though :>
Sigh... I wish I had something clever or witty to put here...
I'm thinking no, for the same reason that it doesn't work with Incapacitate.
Also, this entry in the Players Guide:
#048 Darkseid
Option 3 of Omega Effect begins ―Darkseid’s damage
value is 0 for the duration of the action.
Correct. That Player's Guide errata essentially locks the damage value when Darkseid uses Option 3 of Omega Effect.

Without that Player's Guide errata it would work. Unless locked (or for duration of the action), 0 damage value can be increased by things like Enhancement. The reason you cannot enhance the damage of a Mind Control attack is because it deals no damage. No damage is different than 0 damage.
That's what I was thinking, but wondering why they didn't say that in the newest edition of the PG.
Because no one suggested an update. We are only human, after all - it got overlooked, plain and simple.

Yup, a Crit Hit would increase damage dealt - it is the damage value that gets locked. So any time you want to move an enemy you should choose the penetrating damage option as well, in case you get lucky.
A critical hit would deal 1 damage, yes, since this is not a no damage attack.
I figured as much, since the same applies to Incapacitate.

It wasn't meant as a criticism, just wondered if it was intentional or not.
Duly noted.
