Been playing this game for like 5 years, but I've never really used him and I dont think I'v ever fought him. But tonight I am going to use him. That being said, I want to make sure I get a few things clear first.
(This is the Avengers Galactus BTW)
Question 1
Galactus Rules -
When played as part of a force, Galactus
ignores the Earthbound, Exploit Weakness,
Force Blast, Incapacitate, Mastermind,
Mind Control, Plasticity, Poison, Psychic
Blast, Shape Change, Stealth, and Support
powers of opposing characters.
Does this mean he can be targeted by friendly support powers?
By support powers does it mean the power called Support. Or support powers in general, like perplex, support, enhancement, and whatever else?
I would infer from this that your force could use support to heal galactus, and could perplex, enhance..shield... etc.
What about mastermind, is that include din the "of opposing characters?" or is that just support?
Question 2
Start area -
Due to the new rules, the start area expands to match your force I think, so there shoul dbe no trouble fitting him and the heralds I will have occompany him inside ?
I dont see where this is written in the new rulebook. So I may need some education here.
Question 3
Differeneces between Old and New Galactus
Multi Attack instead of Cosmic attack
New is immune to exploit weakness
New only gets damage modifiers for Energy Explosion, but not pulsewave.
ANd 4
Specificly I plan on using a bunch of perplex, shield team ability, enhancement...and if its legal I may be using support on him.
Any reason to think any of these are illegal?
There is no official term in heroclix for what you are referring to as support powers. Any reference to Support in Heroclix is to the yellow power under damage
From Players' Guide
Replace the first sentence of the first paragraph under Powers and Abilities: Galactus ignores the Exploit Weakness, Force Blast, Incapacitate, Mind Control, Plasticity, Poison, Psychic Blast, Shape Change, Steal Energy, and Support powers, as well as team abilities that duplicate these powers.

Thanks, that answers a bunch of them, i pulled up the Players guide and it answered a few questions, including the pulsewave one

Hmm there is a slight grammatical error. That 'the' shouldn't be there unless it sentance went on to say of what. Like previously it was of opposing characters. Oh well, looks like Support is out.
No problem. All answers are for CoG Galactus (except where noted.) Keep in mind that where their rules overlap (it says powers, but it means rules), the clarifications for Galactus apply to CoG Galactus.
From the Player's Guide:

Galactus (Coming of Galactus)
Part of a Force Rules
Where their powers overlap, the clarifications for Galactus apply to COG Galactus.

I think BigSoph covered this one. Note that the rules removed reference to "of opposing characters" so Support by opposing characters on other opposing characters should be fine. Opposing characters who are attacked by Galactus could still not use Mastermind.

You are correct.
From p. 5 of the Blackest Night Rulebook:
Quote
If either player’s force will not fit within the purple lines, all starting areas increase by one row toward the center of the map. Starting areas can be extended until each player’s force will fit in their respective starting area.

Correct (although opposite order. I assume you know, but for clarity: Original Galactus is Cosmic Multiattack while CoG Galactus is just Multiattack.)

So is original Galactus.

This could use further clarification. CoG Galactus only references EE, not Pulse Wave. He uses at least part of the clarification below since his original rules reference damage value and not damage dealt. Clarification is needed on whether the section below applies to his Pulse Wave too or just his EE.
From the Player's Guide:
Quote
When Galactus uses Energy Explosion or Pulse Wave against multiple targets, the damage dealt per hit is equal to the number of dials he started with, overriding all other restrictions on this number.
From the CoG Rules:
Quote
When Galactus uses Energy Explosion, his damage value becomes equal to the number of combat dials he started with at the beginning of the game (1, 2, or 3).
How much overlap is overlapped?

That would be legal. (See BigSoph's post.)
So a friendly character can use support on Big G?
Every other question I had was answered and thanks very much for it. I will rep u now.

I don't think a friendly character can use Support on Galactus. One opposing character could use Support on another opposing character, but if a friendly character uses Support on Galactus, Galactus should ignore it.

Actually, the 'the' is correct.
Here's the sentence:
Replace the first sentence of the first paragraph under Powers and Abilities: Galactus ignores the Exploit Weakness, Force Blast, Incapacitate, Mind Control, Plasticity, Poison, Psychic Blast, Shape Change, Steal Energy, and Support powers, as well as team abilities that duplicate these powers.
Here is why (edited)
Replace the first sentence of the first paragraph under Powers and Abilities: Galactus ignores the (following list of) powers, as well as team abilities that duplicate these powers.
He ignores the powers. Now, if you took out the word powers after Support, you would be right

WOW, this explains why the age requirement of heroclix went from 8+ to 17+. apparently one needs a college dagree to play...
