I was reading up on line of fire and stealth and I noticed something interesting and need some help. If a stealth fig is in hindering and he is trying to get line of fire to the enemy whom also has stealth but is not in hindering. Can they see each other? My point is that line of fire always starts from the center of the square so since lof starts there then that tiny half square of hindering will block lof to eachother right? Or am I being too technical
Blackest Night Rulebook pg. 11
Line of Fire: Hindering terrain impedes line of fire. If a line of fire between two characters on the same elevation crosses a square of hindering terrain on the elevation at least once, modify the target's Defense Value by +1 for the attack, unless the only square of hindering terrain crossed is occupied by the attacker.

That's what I was thinking, but given the way that's worded, doesn't it only apply to the defense modifier and not whether or not the line of fire is blocked?

Sarcanis is correct that the rules don't properly cover this. The only rule that mentions ignoring the hindering terrain is....
From p. 11 of the Blackest Night Rulebook:

But that rule on its face only deals with the +1 to defense value, it does not deal with Stealth. Based on the rules we have, z06need4speed is correct, but I don't think that was the intent and has never been how the rule has been applied.

That's how it is suppose to be, but that is not stated in the rules themselves. (Something close to that should actually be the rule because it's very technical. A word other than "attacker" needs to be used since the rule applies whether a LOF is drawn regardless of whether an attack is being made or not. But, that rule would ignore the hindering terrain when drawing LOF to a different character while still applying the hindering terrain when the character draws LOF to itself.)
