I've got a friend coming to a tournament soon that needs an easy team to play, one that will be pretty good, but not too complicated for him. He's played once (maybe twice depending if we can get together again this week), and caught on fast, but it would easier with the right team.

He's going to be using my figures and although I'm starting to get a decent collection together, I would say to stick with mostly commons and uncommons from the latest sets.

Some ideas I had:

1. Something around the Martial Artist keyword. I have a lot of them, except Cap. America & Daredevil. I'd probably include the LE Diana Prince.

2. Thor & Asgardians. I have most of the non-SR ones.

3. A tentpole that is really hard to kill, surrounded by decent support.

Sorry, I left that out. Golden Age, but I'm not going to worry about Feats and everything else isn't being used.
