Nope. You cannot target a character and a terrain feature in the same attack.
Can you please point me to where it says that in the rules? I'm trying to find it but having no luck. Thus why I'm bringing it up. I'm thinking something changed with the BN rulebook vs the FF rulebook.
.......No game effect can target or attack a character, in addition to a piece of terrain, or object with the same attack, even if they occupy the same square.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........

"Destroying blocking terrain. A square of blocking terrain
can be destroyed by an attack that deals at least 3 damage in a single
attack. When a character attacks blocking terrain, the attack automatically
succeeds. An attacker can’t target both a character and blocking terrain
with the same attack. A close combat attack can be used to destroy a
square of blocking terrain adjacent to the attacker. A ranged combat attack
can be used to destroy a square of blocking terrain by drawing a line of
fire to the center of the square of blocking terrain; the line of fire is not
blocked by blocking terrain in the target square"

I think the above is a little clearer on the matter

Except the quote Sheeplover quoted was from the FF rulebook, and if you look up that same section in the BN rulebook (pg 12) that sentence you bolded is not in there.

Ahhh...gotcha!! Didn't know the FF was quoted. Still, though, the old wording is much clearer IMO. The new one is kind of convoluted, with the term "game effect". But, still does the job
