Comes to 400 points even. Another option is to trade Iron Patriot for Noh-Varr and Thunderbolts on Bullseye, but I think IP has more to add to the team.

I like Noh-Varr a lot more than Iron Patriot. 150 points for 1 click of 10 attack just doesn't do much for me.

Sure he brings outwit to the table, but that's about it. Shield TA not worth it for 150 pts, and the leadership will rarely if ever come into play. Noh-Varr at least gives you the option to nut your theme team for that 12 AV RS if you feel you're going up against some particularly nasty defense values. Not to mention the added versatility of T-bolts on Bullseye.

I agree with Silver Lantern, Noh-Varr brings a lot more to the table (though Osborn clobbers him in the sculpt category).

The mobility difference between the two is staggering. Yes, Patriot is a flier, but Noh-Varr packs 3 clicks of Running Shot and two of HSS to truly make himself a ranged threat. That's going to be important on a team without TK or multiple fliers (if Norman's slated for taxi duty you're in for a bad game).

I'd choose the genetically-engineered alien every time for competitive play. Patriot looks cool and that's about it.

Yea t-bolting Bullseye to Ultimates makes him even more deadly. Ignoring hindering for LOS, but almost as important is ignoring it for movement.

Just won my LE Daken last weekend myself......I think there will be some DA line-ups for me in the next little while.

1) Iron Patriot 150 and Daken 63, for 400 even (like you posted)
2) Nor-Var 141 and LE Daken 72, for 400 even
3) Nor-Var 141, Daken 63, and T-Bolts 8 (on Bullseye), for 399

I'm going to start off with IP on the team but I think Nor-Var makes the team better...........RS with PW/PsyBlast/EE(<--possible recharge! depending on points and build restrictions).

I would miss the in IP but Bullseye and Venom don't really need the help so it's just Daken that feels the loss.

Let us know how they do, it's always good to hear how the 'easy to figure out' builds do.

You don't really have to lose theme team if you play Moonstone or any of the other actual DA team members. Just ask your judge to grant you a theme team. Shouldn't need much of an explaination, and should pass easily as theme.

I agree that Noh-Varr is better than Iron Patriot. Both have PB to start, but Noh-Varr has an 11 Attack compared to IP 10. Noh-Varr also has PW etc. For 9 points less, he's better IMO.

If I do go with Noh-Varr, another option would be to trade out Daken for Norman Osborn. That could get interesting.

That is better as I think you have enough points left over for inside info on Noh-Varr and Norman is a lot better support wise than Daken he's just a 2ndry attacker pretty much.
