DOUBLE POUNCE : Batman and Catwoman can use Leap/Climb. When Batman and Catwoman are given a move action, after the movement is complete Batman and Catwoman may use the Duo Attack ability as a free action.
Robin's Special power reads....
TEAR GAS GRENADE: Robin can use Smoke Cloud. When Robin uses Smoke Cloud, after he places all hindering terrain markers he can immediately use Incapacitate as a free action but can attack only a single opposing character occupying a square containing a hindering terrain marker he placed that turn; ignore the effects of hindering terrain on the attack.
Since Bats & Cats Special Power does not specify at what point after the move action occurs, where other powers (e.g. Robin's) specify immediate usage is required, can it be used in the following scenarios?
1. Bats/Cats Move, Gain Double Pounce, Outwit the target's D, then Attack using the precedent of the order of Free Actions.
2. Bats/Cats Move, Gain Double Pounce, allow a different fig to attack first and then attack second?
You must resolve one action, before giving a character (or a different character) another action. This includes any free action(s) granted by a power or ability.
So if you use Double Pounce, you have to give Bat & Cat their usage of the Duo Attack before you do anything else with them, or any other figure.

Not sure I buy that. The move action is giving you an option to gain a free action. It's not part of the original action.

This is correct. The free action is part of Double Pounce.

Any comment from an Orange?
Even if you don't believe me (or Blaiser, or Questions) you could simply look at the Blackest Night Rule book. Page 7:
GIVING ACTIONS TO CHARACTERS
During your turn, you give actions from your action total to your characters. You can’t give a character on your force more than one action from your action total. When a character is given an action, that action can be used for only one power or ability that requires that type of action to activate. You must completely resolve one action (including resolving any free actions that action allows, including applying action tokens and pushing damage, etc.) before you begin the next action. If you have more available actions than characters, you can’t use the extra actions. You do not have to use all of your available actions, but you can’t save them for future turns.
Pretty black and white right there.

also something else I've noticed a lot of people doing is using the double pounce for just close combat attacks. it doesn't specify close combat only and they have a range of 3 so they can actually use double pounce for range attacks too. comes in real handy sometimes when you know your opponent is counting distance spaces between his pieces and yours.

Sorry to bring this thread back, but Iam going to use this fig. and wanted to get clarity on question 1 because I think that they can use the outwit after the move action and then the duo attack, or does it matter on which free action goes first does the player control the order of the free actions. As for 2 I totally agree.

So can they use outwit after the move action and then the duo attack, and if not why not. They move and move is complete they outwit and then duo attack. By the wording it seems that they can do it this way.

The bolded portion of W.I.T.'s post (post #6) tells you why this cannot be done.
