Heh. Can't say I ever tried that one, but for a one-shot delivery system to move someone 16 squares... 18 points may not be a terrible price. Over-taxing himself, the little green bugger just WHOOF!s out of existence in a ball of fire.
For just 2 points more, though, one could equip a 15 pt rookie Vulture with Double-Time and potentially get several trips out of him, though for somewhat shorter distances.
All of this is reminding me of the occasional recommendations to make jet pack special objects -- which I know a few members have produced from time to time.

Vulture cannot be assigned Double-Time. Vulture has the speed symbol and Double-Time requires the speed symbol or the character to be a Transporter.
On the subject (and because I'm too lazy to look up the rules) can single based transporters be carried? I know double based characters can't be carried. However, not all double based characters are transporters and not all transporters are double based characters. Where is the line drawn?

Transporters (double or single based) cannot be carried because they do not have the appropriate speed symbol. (And I shouldn't have looked that up for you. )

The best carry combo, imo, was Anarky with Double-Time, Flashbang, and Passenger. (This was before Indomitable became actual Willpower.)
He could use Tools of Change to use Smoke Cloud, which activated a move action (speed 7), which activated Double Time (speed 14), which activated Passenger (speed 12). Then when that move action ended, Flashbang would activate, allowing anoth Smoke Cloud, which started the cycle over.
The result is carrying a figure up to 24 squares (or two people 12 squares each) while ignoring 4 clicks of pushing damage.
I always liked doing the carry double time flashbang combo with Nightshade. Then the opponent had to get out the spot and couldn't just hunker down and play the stealth game. Just me though :>

Well, until we started getting figures like Chase Stein, who can carry other figures regardless of Speed Symbol (as long as they have the Kid, Runaways or Teen keyword), the acronym I always used was this:
CCCC
Carriers Can't Carry Carriers
Now, that's kind of out the door, but for the most part, it works.
