Can captain B target both squares of a peanut base and do damage to both?
And can he do this while adjacent to another figure?
I believe the power can only attack a figure once during the action. So i'm sure you can target both squares occupied by a peanut-based figure, the figure would only be hit once.

Boomerang's Path: Give Captain Boomerang a power action and choose up to 6 different squares within line of fire (ignoring characters for this purpose). Each square must be different, adjacent to the previously chosen square, and the first and last squares chosen must be adjacent to this character. Make an attack roll and compare the result to each character occupying a chosen square. Each character this way is dealt 2 damage.
Because it says you ignore characters when choosing the squares, I believe it's technically neither a close combat nor a ranged combat attack. you're just picking squares and rolling AN attack. This also means you can hit through stealth since you're drawing LoF to the square not the character.

Bold part is what i have a question with. Energy Explosion seems closest to this situation but the problem is EE targets characters. So a peanut couldnt be targeted twice per EE wording. But Boomerangs Path seems different because it doesnt target characters just squares and compares attack roll to every character in a square and it doesnt exclude characters being hit twice from the power. Id like to hear some mods on this. HArpua is great at breaking this stuff down.
Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control, even for a moment, or someone could die. - superman JLU Destoyer
You bolded the wrong part: it clearly says that each character hit this way is dealt 2 damage. So even if you did compare twice (once for each square... and I am not saying you do... just saying IF), the character is hit; whether hit once or six times, it is hit. And if it hit, it is dealt 2 damage.
Basically, this a simple yes/no situation: Was the character hit? Y - deal 2 damage; N - no damage is dealt.
so would they get a defense boost from hindering or ES/D?
ES/D only activates if the character is attacked with a ranged combat attack. This attack is not listed as either ranged OR close combat; it is just "an attack".
And, like Stealth, the hindering terrain modifier only applies if you draw LOF between characters.

I was really hoping they would make Captain Boomerang amazingly amazing, but I had low hopes. They did him justice. Armor piercing is his best friend.
im kinda like "meh" with him... because his power means he has to be abt 2-3 squares from the target... the problem(IMO) is he doesnt have the defensive powers/raw defense stats to get that close to the opponet without being shot at a couple times on the way there.

I hate it when superman gets tied up with Plastic Man
Don't hate the player, hate the game. Or the figures. Or the dice. Or the map...

Id' really like to hear some reasoning as to why Boomrang's Path is an attack.

I am going to say, it is probably the bolded area.
No rest until the great works of Anthony Edward Stark are in clix forms
Soon...his works will be realized... in 2013 the Hall of Armor in clix!
An attack roll happening does not mean that an attack is happening. Here are my posts from an earlier thread that explain how I see this power working based on the text.
