Hello, i don't know if this have been asked before, any way i don't mean to bother nobody.
Is the " YER EVER-LOVIN' PAL" of The Thing (Fantastic Four Starter) a power action or a free action? why?
This come from a discussion with a friend of me that states: "this power doesn't say that is a free action"
Quote
YER EVER-LOVIN' PAL: At the beginning of your turn, if the Thing is adjacent to one or more friendly characters that have one or more action tokens, roll a d6. On a result of 5 or 6, you can remove an action token from one friendly character, or two friendly characters if they and the Thing all posses a single common keyword.

Above is the actual trait.
The trait never uses the word action, so it is not an action. Like Probability control or Enhancement it just happens.

I'm not a judge, but I'll lend a vote of support to PaxZRake's point - if it is not listed as any type of action, I would say it is not defined as an action.
Lots of powers are not defined as actions; actually, a quick look at the PAC reveals tons of 'em. The healing you get from Steal Energy is not defined as an action, nor is rolling Super Senses, or using Prob Control. I would chalk Yer Ever Lovin' Pal up with these as an effect that does not require any action to be taken to activate, even a free one.
By which I mean: it is not an action, it's just something you can do.
This. ^^^^^
It is important because of things like theme team probability control. If it were any kind of action then Aunt Petunia's favorite nephew could not use a TT prob on a turn when he had used his trait. As it is, he is allowed because it is not an action.
Well, I AM pretty awesome.
An understanding of the law of large numbers leads to a realization that what appear to be fantastic improbabilities are not remarkable at all but, merely to be expected.
