Hi! right well how about both 300 and 400 it would be cool to use them all together thats for sure! But I understand that 300 is the standard for a game

300 pts is usually the norm. the last time I played the Starter set as a 400 pt unit, I found that Johnny was the one taking the most damage kept having to use Reed to perplex his defence by 2. at 300 pts, I'd play Reed and Grimm, but opt for either Sue, or for a 4 figs, go with Reed, Johnny, SI Spider-Man and SI She-Thing.
Mr. Fantastic and Thing are the a must. From there build to suit your play style and the meta-game for your area. If it's Golden Age, put Brilliant Tactician on Mr. Fantastic and save some points somewhere else (like a cheap version of Sue).
For 300pt. Modern Age I like (as already suggested):
Mr. Fantastic 100
The Thing 100
She-Thing 50
Spider-Man 50
She-Thing is a tie-up/sacrifice piece that allows Thing to get in position and choose his first strike. He really needs his first shot to stick. Spider-Man is an excellent second string combatant. He is good from range, but you need to base your opponent to use his flurry. Keep Mr. Fantastic safe until absolutely necessary, that double perplex is your greatest weapon.
These were the first pieces I ever owned. While Torch seems like an offensive weapon with RS and EE, he goes down very fast when someone bases him.
With Sue and Torch on the same squad, I'd use his RS and keep him within range of Sue's TK. Use his RS to attack someone, keeping him within range of her TK and then TK'ing him away from anyone's tie-up or charge possibility.
Brilliant Tactician is a must on Mr. Fantastic if you're playing Golden Age. Also, you can really use Sue's TK to pull Thing out of danger after he attacks someone, since he is able of moving his entire speed value with this initial movement SP.
Don't worry about putting enemies in range of Sue's 6 range because she wants to stay at least 7 spaces from any enemy so they can't draw a line of fire to her. Keep Mr. Fantastic close to her in case she gets into trouble. You can also use her to throw enemies away from him and her if you keep her on her first click.
Edit: Also, Thing's Yer Ever Lovin' Pal SP comes in handy if you use Sue to TK him after he charges on an enemy. TK him adjacent to Sue and if you roll a 5 or 6 at the beginning of you next turn, you can remove both action tokens from them and repeat the same strategy.
In order to play them: remember that most of the figures have at least 2 golden clicks up front. Feel free to push off the first click, knowing that if they are about to take out one of your guys, you will heal up that click. If one of your pieces dies and everyone else is on their first click, you haven't pushed/maximized their damage + action output.
Wow! thanks for all the info ! Ill try out all these when I play for the first time which will be soon! Looks like I got to but a SI Spidey and She-Thing!!! Ill post how it goes!
Tip: Don't use all four starter figs in a 300 point game.
Tip: You can use all four starter figs in a 400 point game.
Tip: If you can use feats, use all four starter figs plus SI Spiderman plus Brilliant Tactician + 30 additional points of feats in a 500 point game.
Build
100 SI101 Mr. Fantastic
100 SI104 The Thing
92 AV024 Black Panther
292 add points for ATA
...puts you over. The ATA is 5 points per character...15 points.
