I know the action is once per action. but something seems off when this had happened last night:
the player had four team abilities; brotherhood, batman enemy, batman ally, and a wildcard in which it continued to change through T.A's for every action, even on other players turns. so there had been a point were the W.C is in hindering and just before being attacked he then declaires hes now B.A
i must be overlooking the rules and strategies trying figure out how is this legal?
You can change your copied TA at the beginning of any action (as long as the change does not make the declared action illegal), including on your opponent's turn.
Copying Batman in response to a ranged attack, for example.
Or copying Watchmen in response to enemy Perplex or (possibly) Outsiders TA.
God is smarter than we are....
Visit Heroclixin'! Or check out my trade thread. Molly Hayes' KO list: HoT Ultron, HoT Thor, SI Iron Man, AV Wonder Man, SI Sentry, LE Diana Prince, R IC Ultron, Pretty Boy, CW Kang, IIM Thunderball, TW Catwoman, OP Red Hulk.
Or copying Watchmen in response to enemy Perplex or (possibly) Outsiders TA.
That does not make the action illegal; it is still perfectly acceptable to use Perplex on those characters. It just won't necessarily matter a whole heck of a lot. Kind of like countering Willpower on a character that alread has two actions tokens; nothing illegal about it, but it probably won't do anything meaningful.
My venue is pretty cool and we don't see alot of this but I used to love playing the saboteur feat card on a stupid team ability...like IL or something and say...oh by the way, all your wildcards have the IL team ability and see the look on the face! Priceless!
If I put Saboteur on my Outsider, your WCs can copy it from me.
sweet!! i hardly ever use the cardboard, but i have to remember this for next golden age
thanks Harpua!
rep to u sir
edit: i was under the impression that even the copying of the TA in Saboteur was still confined by the regular rules of 'wild-carding', but only gave the WC one choice? it does direct itself to opposing figures, so i initially thought Sab was more of a 'defensive' feat?
letting an opponent copy your outsiders would seem like a complete waste of 20 points

am i missing something here?
If you don't like that, just slap it on your Power Cosmic guy to let you opponent use that one.
