MAGNETIC FIELD: Magneto can use Energy Shield/Deflection. When Magneto uses the Carry ability, he can carry up to 4 characters. Modify Magneto's combat values by +1 if he's occupying a square that contains a debris marker.
Here lies the issue, I know That with Asgardian warriors or rocktrolls. You could charge out of the range of 8 but then never gained the plus 1 to the attack.
With magneto it states when he occupies Hindering debris terrain he gains plus one to all combat values. but if he moves from that square would he not loose that plus one modifier to all his combat values since it is not like perplex?
(Played in a sealed event where someone moved with plus one to his movement caring someone.)
One: He does not get the +1 from his game text on Hindering terrain. He gets it on debris tokens. Debris tokens act as hindering terrain, but they are not the same thing. Debris tokens generally only result from characters knocking down blocking terrain or walls (though some other figures have special powers that produce them, like Cave Carson). Ordinary hindering terrain will not improve Magneto's combat values beyond the usual hindering terrain bonus.
But, yes, he'll lose the bonus as soon as he leaves the debris marker.
Magneto doesn't get +1 to all his combat values by occupying hindering terrain, he gets it when he occupies a square of debris. With that said, if he were to Running Shot onto debris, he'd get the sudden +1 to his values when shooting his targets. If he left the debris, he'd lose it immediately.
The combat values that are increased when occupying debris are: Speed, Attack, Defense, Damage, and Range.

and this is why i love Juggs even more. (yea i said it) the human demolition crew!
yea, debris is most definitely separate from hindering terrain. so send in Dr J and as he demolishes the map, creating all kinds of debris, his buddy Mags will get that juicy bonus from various spots!
good bye tank, hello +1 modifier!
o wait!! two questions. debris would hinder movement wouldn't it (as per normal hindering terrain rules?)
also, would Mags get the +1 bonus to defense as per his SP AND +1 for the regular hindering bonus to defense against ranged, giving him a +2 instead?

Yes, debris tokens are hindering terrain and have all the properties of hindering terrain.
Also, nothing prevents Magneto from getting the +1 to his defense from the hindering terrain, so he will get +2 when he is in hindering terrain.

FYI: Leap/Climb, Phasing/Teleport, or Flight allow a figure to move off of/through Hindering Terrain without the loss of movement. Since this thread is primarily about Magneto, I should remind you that Magneto is, in fact, a Flier, so he can Running shot from Debris Marker to Debris Marker with no negative effects.
Vulture: I'll drop you from the sky and watch you drop like a rag doll! Spider-Man: And this'll be when? After Ock rips me limb from limb? Or after Venom eats my brains? Oh, I almost forgot; he also has dibs on my spleen...
If doing a running shot off of a debris token (and not onto another one), would he not get the +1 to his movement (as he occupied it at the time it was performed), but he would not get it for his ranged attack or range value as at the time this action is given (the free action part of running shot) he no longer occupies a token?

Correct. And he would get the bonus for everything except Movement (well, he'd get it, just not be able to get a good use out of it) if he Running Shots and ends on Debris Tokens.
