Hello HeroClix Fans!We begin our Giant-Size X-Men Print and Play experience with none other than an Alternate Team Ability from the Massachusetts Academy.Today we present to you the Hellions ATA!
The Hellions may have been the White Queen’s answer to the New Mutants, but these young students never quite learned to play nice with each other. Unlike the X-Men team ability which allows Xavier’s students to help each other out with some healing, the Hellions ATA represents the manipulative nature of Emma Frost or her protege, Empath and rewards you when one of your Hellions fails to make the grade (i.e. is K.O.’ed). [...]
I like it. I have always been a New Mutant fan because I have a full run of the comics. I already have a team built.
Thanks,
WizKids
Now we just need a new Warlock that gains a special ability with Cypher.
Me too. I am only missing a copy of the original Graphic Novel, otherwise I have every appearance. New Mutants were always my favorite. I'm so pleased that they are not only back, but in a form that is thoroughly enjoyable!
This ATA works like the Legionnaire one, yes? Or is it reverse?
It's kinda reversed. The Legionnaires ATA says that when the highest-point character is KO'ed, everyone else gets to remove an action token. Here, one Hellion costing more than the KO'ed one gets the action token removed.
At first I thought they were the same (why were they duplicating ATAs?), but thanks for pointing this out - there is a subtle difference.
So you will force people to kill the support pieces on your team in order to effectively give Wolfsbane Indomitable. Not a terrible team ability. I love the idea of Empath pushing to MC someone into adjacency, taking feedback, dying, and then letting Wolfsbane just tear somebody open. Might have to commission a mod of a spare Rahne into Catseye just to feel nominally better.
I blog. God help me, I'm one of those people now.
. . . considering that he's missing both the spoon and the milk from his bowl of psycho nuts . . . -Techno, in Thunderbolts, regarding Graviton

not to bad...i was hoping for it to be cheaper but 3 points will do, i am going to have to sit down now and add all the Hellions that i have and seee hwat it looks like
Personally I'd of rather had a relevant keyword get an ATA but I guess whatever. At least all 3 of the Hellions fans on this planet get something to be happy about in life.
