One of the items that I always think of when convention season comes around is of all the great food that I get to eat while I’m on the road. At Origins, it’s the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the food court of the convention center. Working the convention, I need to stock up on food to get through the day and it’s no different if your opponent is fielding the First Horsemen of the Apocalypse Famine.

Autumn Rolfson was a teen with an eating disorder before being turned into Famine by Apocalypse. To show her new power as Famine, she can Starve the opponent with her special power and give action tokens to each adjacent opposing character. Thus, slowing down the competition as they have to deal with being hungry and having to stop and eat food or otherwise starve to death (just like Beast stopping to eat junk food in the comic). In addition to her powers, Apocalypse gave her a steed to ride into combat as evidenced by the transporter icon on the dial. Of course, she also comes in at 99 points and the Horsemen of Apocalypse ATA would be a welcome addition if she just had some friends with her as well!

Origins is the first convention that this figure will be available at as a prize but don’t worry this figure will also be available at GenCon. For those not attending the conventions, another way to get this figure will be announced by the end of the year.

Well, I’ve got to go because all this talk of food has made me hungry. Tune in tomorrow for the next exciting preview!

This is pleasing to hear (most likely won't be making a con this year) but at the same time, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.

Wow - been a while since we've had a convention exclusive.

Kinda neat.

Figure is okay - nifty Trait / SP. Nothing game breaking and not a must have figure for me. I wonder if the other 3 will be available or is this just the missing link?

Just an aside - the figure looks really dusty. Someone doesn't keep their stuff in a tackle box...

Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

This is great and sux all at the same time.

Having all the "original Horsemen" will be very cool.

Making it only available to people who are attending cons is not cool.

There are many people who will want these who cant make it to the cons for one reason or another.

I would have been much happier if they had made this a mail away for figure or release all 3 in a fast forces pack.
