Better than the dropdown version. If you want a seriously affordable, seriously durable Sinestro, move for this one. High def early, damage reduction late, and Charging pen damage to set it all off is a solid value for his cost. True story: opponent wipes out ALL of my other Lanterns. This Sinestro stands alone against 2 Deadshots, John Stewart, and 3 Moloids. Care to presume the outcome, seeing as I'm making a big deal of it here? Granted, Abin "passed the power" on to him, but nonetheless he handled 6 figs flying solo! That's just gas.

This is awesomeness. Hold him back at first; use that 9 range and take all the other GLC bonuses as you can to your advantage (kilowog's +1 and enhancement, Salaak's perplex, honor guard ATA, Abin's Pass the Power, etc) before you feel you need use that Charge/Exploit combo. Gotta say, I want to paint one yellow!
His 19 Def is just amazing. He didn't get hit ONCE a whole game against my friend. And my friend tried a good 15 or so rolls to get him. GREAT player, especially for the points.
In all of the five or six times so far I've played against Sinestro, I don't believe I've ever seen him do a significant amount of damage in a game. He's amazing in theory, but his attack is a little low to make him a great secondary attacker. With the right support I imagine he'll be amazing, but without it be ready for him to miss a lot. His damage power has an interesting mechanic that could compensate for his attack, but probably won't if his high opening defense is cracked.

Good to great stats, but they could have cut out most of the Force Blast to shave even more points off. I'd have gotten rid of his SA and just made him Indomitable.
Man, that's just cheese right there. 19 Defense and Willpower makes me wonder how he is related to KC Green Lantern. Charging and slicing anyone close (like butter) top dial at a 100 points means I'll be seeing him around pretty much in tournaments.
If you have not played this guy then you are missing out. this guy just keeps going and going, shot after shot. That 19 defense makes him a pain to hit add a bit of perplex thrown in will make sure he never gets hit. If they do find them selves lucky enough to hit, a team prob will make sure they are not lucky enough to do so twice. Rolled him in a gl 500 point team and this guy was the star, leading the assault with a 3 win streak.
An excellent GL variant of Sinestro, with a solid end-dial upswing. Sinestro's SP is a bit tricky to pull off without a friendly character with Leadership (to clear tokens off him in order to keep pushing and increasing his Fear token count), but given the right conditions, he's a beast.
