1.) When fighting with the object in close combat, there are no bonuses to damage correct? "Captain America does not use The Shield while making close combat attacks." - I'm deriving that from this text
2.) After being thrown, the object has to be set down adjacent to a target? Does that have to be one of the targets, or can that be any target? Can it be you? Have the shield land in a square adjacent to you?
3.) If the shield does not come back to you, and it lands in a square adjacent to an enemy target. Can characters with Super Strength pick up Cap's Shield, and if not/otherwise, can they use it as cover, standing on it?
4.) As you can see, I have many questions regarding the shield and captain america's super strength, I would love it if someone could give me a "Steve, this is how you throw your shield for dummies" hand on doing this correctly.
And thanks.

The Shield: Continual, Light Object: The Shield can't be destroyed, only #040 Captain America can hold or pick up The Shield. When used in a ranged attack, Captain America may target two characters and deals 3 damage to each hit character. After any attack using The Shield resolves, place it in a square adjacent to a target's square. This object does not count towards your force.
What other target would there be beside the target of the attack during the attack?

Once the object is on the map, it acts like any other object with respect to being considered hindering terrain for movement and LOF.

If he's holding it, simply say "I am giving Captain America a ranged combat action to throw his Shield. I will target X and Y with the ranged combat attack."
Roll dice.
See if you hit and deal damage as needed.
Resolve actio and place Shield adjacent to target.
2.) Figuring that out. I was trying to see if the shield can come back to you, or if you have to go run and get it.
3.) Ah, yeah, I should've read that - Typing from work.
4.) Thanks, hanging in there. Excited for my LGS's first sealed draft tourney this weekend. Just want to make sure I understand what's up with this piece. And I'm going to use mine in the after-draft fun games. We plan on doing a big Hydra & AIM vs Shield and Invaders battle.

Always quote the power in question
CAPTAIN AMERICA'S SHIELD: Captain America begins the game holding The Shield, Captain America can use Super Strength but only to pick up and hold The Shield. Captain America does not use The Shield while making close combat attacks. While The Shield is being held by Captain America, he can use Energy Shield/Deflection and Running Shot.
THE SHIELD (LIGHT OBJECT): The Shield can't be destroyed, only #CA040 Captain America can hold or pick up The Shield. When used in a ranged attack, Captain America may target two characters and deals 3 damage to each hit character. After any attack using The Shield involves, place it in a square adjacent to a target's square. This object does not count toward your force.
1. Bolded part
2. Italics part
3. Bolded part (The Shield)
4. Pick the first and second target, you have to have a line of fire to both. Roll and smack two people for 3 damage each

2.) Gotta figure that out. I'm trying to see if the shield can come back to you, or if you have to go run and get it.
Unless Cap's target is 2 squares away, and you can thus place the Shield in the open square between Cap and his target, then it does not "come back to him".
