Post how you take care of your opponents Cheese figures
Nightwing:
A)Problem: seems like everyone I play with likes to use Nightwing on the outdoor maps with the buildings. Nightwing climbs up on the corner (on an object) and just stays there outwitting everything and attacking anyone he wants to.
B)Solution: I use a Blue Beetle/Booster Gold duo on every team. Booster drops off Beetle next to Nightwing; Beetle Force Blasts Nightwing off the building; Nightwing takes two clicks of damage. Nightwing is no longer hiding on the object, he no longer has outwit, and he doesn't have line of sight to many people. Also, his 16 defense is gone & I never had to make an attack roll.
Booster Gold isn't mandatory, but Blue Beetle is. Booster is on almost every team anyway (I use him in my combo because he always teams up with the Blue Beetle anyway). All you have to do is start using Blue Beetle. Anyone can taxi him. I end up Force Blasting someone off a building almost every game. It works well against TO Morrow's Super Senses too.
Flash makes can do a decent job, Nightwing only has two clicks of outwit so just perplex his damge up to two and it's gone. Or Nightcrawler. U Elektra with a cheap taxi. Really just anyone who you can get in his range that can deal two clicks.
I want these solutions to be tournament legal, so try and keep solutions in the same universe as the problems.
I agree that perplexing Flash's damage to 2 is a good way to take out Nightwing's two clicks of Outwit, but you still have to make an attack roll.
Nightwing get's put on the corner of a building 90% of the time. Flash is a great solution when Nightwing is not elevated, because if he's grounded a Force Blast won't do much.
Bane
A)Problem: People drop him off and do 5 damage!
B)Solution: I like to use a 'Bane bait' figure. This is a figure such as Exp Huntress, Aquaman, Hawkman, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, etc. that is not only extremely useful even when not used as bait, but also doesn't die when Bane hits it. Usually these bait figures have like a 10 or 11 defense after Bane attacks them, and can be easily healed. Once Bane has taken the bait, you can swarm him with other guys.
I like to use Unique Superman w/object + Aquaman Rookie to ko almost anyone (in this case, Bane). It's a 152 point combo that does 8 damage in two actions, and your opponent isn't going to think Bane is in any danger when only two figures are nearby. Both/either figure could have their damage perplexed as well, and already have a great attack of 10. You could also use Manbat or Hawkman + Bane or Hawk for cheaper, but they only do 7 damage and the attack on your flying charger is going to be lower than Superman's. Also, I like Superman

But he's still got Leap/Climb and can get back to the Medic long before he's KO'ed. And now you're well in range of my E Bane+R Hawkman team. Nightwing is excellent bait.
I don't like putting Nightwing on the corner right away; I prefer to put him on the 'chimney' where he is completely untouchable, and then moving him into a better position once you get into range.
Regardless, Nightwing is far from cheesy.

Bane can HAVE my Blue Beetle or Booster Gold....my treat. :knockedou They are expendable! They can double as bait.
Your Nightwing still has 16 defense and your medic is going to need some luck to heal that! If he does get healed, at least he didn't get to use his outwit for a few turns, and my team was able to mount an attack.
Besides, at as cheap as 54 points, this duo isn't the only thing Nightwing has to worry about. He can't run away until it's his turn. Now that he's not elevated and stealthed, he's vulnerable to attack from the rest of my team.

I consider a 'cheese' figure to be one that appears in the opposing team of 90% of the games I play, and can do like......say...3 damage from 8 range while stealthed on the corner of a building.
Cheesy or not, you'll have to deal with this figure to be competitive in tournaments. Do you have a better strategy?
A good anti-Nightwing team at the 200-point level is V Flash, V Steel and R Harley Quinn. You have him absolutely beat in mobility. Even if he's on the corner of a building he's vulnerable to Steel's astonishing 12 speed, and 'Wing's never going to get both LoS to Flash to Outwit while staying out of Steel's massive damage-dealing capability.
I do admit to using V Nightwing a lot, though.
