Okay heres the team layout, a friend just made the team and i thought i would share this amazingness :P
400pt:
Chase Superman #55 (with hoodie) -107pts
(Gravity Feed) Abin Sur -70pts
(SM) Brainiac -88pts
(SM) Eradicator -135pts
=400pts Even
=====================================================
Now imagine this....you send Superman and Abin Sur out to fight...leave Eradicator in starting are (or hide him :P) and try to keep Brainiac alive...send supes out to battle using as many objects as possible to hurt the enemy, while attacking with Abin sir...ONCE THEY BOTH DIE Supermans reign of superman ability kicks in and Abin Surs ability kicks in....heres his ability:
PASSING THE POWER: When Abin Sur is KO'd, choose a friendly character that's 150 points or less. For the rest of the game, modify that character's attack and defense values by +1.
Okay so Eradicater gets +1 to all stats from Superman..and +1 to attack and defence...Eradicator just became a:
12 movement (running shot)
13 attack (penetrating/psychic blast)
20 defence (super senses/toughness)
4 damage (Shape change)
============================================
AND YOU STILL HAVE BRAINIAC!!!!!!!
outwit your opponents defence, and if they ACTUALLY hit you....PROB!
all credit to uchiamaster!
To Troll...or not to Troll....now that is the Question...
Sorry, but any tactic that says 'throw away 177 points of my 400 point team' = mehhh.
Now you've got 400 points coming to beat down your 223 points in figures. 13 Attack with PB is great, too bad he can only attack 1 figure and he is not that pushable.
Brainiac is over costed for what he brings to the table. 88 points for a figure with 0 Range, 9 Attack and 2 Damage? No thanks on a 400 point team, especially one that is clearly supposed to be 'competitive'.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
i feel your quite wrong about this......brainiac has legion keywork (wildcard), is a flyer...has outwit...and prob or perplex...hes amazing! and my favorite modern support piece other than gsx tarot
To Troll...or not to Troll....now that is the Question...
and your not throwing away the chars either...chase supes i can almost guarentee if you play correctly can easily KO at least 2 of your opponents clix...your going to be locking up and attacking your opponent not just letting them kill you............

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it's not exactly a new concept you're talking about; others (including myself) were talking about using the RotS trait with Abin Sur's weeks ago:
It's a very good team you've got there and it will do very well. Eradicator of all the RotS trait figures will make best use of the trait on top of Abin Sur's "Passing the Power".
I don't think this is a bad team at all. Hiding Eradicator in the back probably isn't a good idea, though. Try to keep people away from him, sure, but you gotta take advantage of RS+Psychic Blast with 3 damage. You can have Brainiac copy the Superman TA and outwit through stealth.
I think Worldbreaker is a pretty cool guy. He breaks worlds and doesn't afraid of anything.
At first glance, I didn't think Brainiac was worth his points. Then I played both with him and against him. He definitely brings enough to the table. That being said, if you want to protect Eradicator while Supes and Sur go to town, why not someone like Despero? He's got TK to help initially, Barrier to protect Erad, and Outwit as well as PB.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.

lol didnt realize that but like i said its a team my friend made...he only had superman, eradicator, and abin sur...he wasnt sure wut else to add to the team and i realized that by adding brainiac u get more support and an exact team of 400...but ya its my friends team i just took the liberty in posting it and seeing others thoughts and ideas :P

Personally I would ditch Brainiac for the 80 point version of Composite Superman (upfront TK which works nicely with his Indomitable) and a Crimson Gem of Cytorrak (5 points) if you have it. And make sure Superman always has an object in his hand when possible; when he attacks this way the damage dealt is penetrating damage.

If you are playing this team against some noob that doesn't know what they are doing, sure. Otherwise, this team gets crushed by any competent player. You send your 177 points across to face my 400 points, and we'll see what happens.
Without at least a TKer, Superman is either taking 2 turns before he gets an attack, and pushing to do so, or 3 turns to make an attack without pushing. With Toughness, and only 1 click of Charge, it takes a hit for 2 Damage to render him 'useless'. Abin is in a similar situation, but at least he doesn't have to push to do so.
You are also assuming the opposing team has no TK of it's own, no Outwit of it's own, and no Range of it's own to be able to attack both Superman and Abin before they get to them.
Any competent player will kill Superman first to be rid of the Penetrating Damage threat. Even a simple hit of 2 takes him off of Charge. Abin has a 9 Attack, 10 if you use Brainiac to boost it up but then you don't get to use his PC.
Also, what if I don't KO them? What if I simply neuter them, then come after Brainiac and Eradicator? Any competent player with a decently well rounded team will see what your 'strategy' is, and will just not KO those figures.
Again, any strategy that revolves around voluntarily getting almost 1/2 your team KO'd to work = mehhhhhh.

That's correct he cannot use PC on an opponents turn. I don't think this plan works very well in the 400 point setting. In higher point games where more figs can make use of the "reign" trait.

Strategy wise? I agree. I don't believe you should make a team thats based around purposely losing figs. Your still giving your opponent points that way. But when it comes to brainiac? I think he's a pretty good support piece.
Any competent player will kill Superman first to be rid of the Penetrating Damage threat.
Actually I think I'd rather just hit him for 1. Earthbound with 9 attack and 2 damage - not so scary. Same with Abin Sur. Hit him for 2 or 3 and he isn't exactly an imposing threat.
I feel like this would be viable if Eradicator was Indomitable. But, as it stands, having to wait to be slapped every two turns in between Psyblasts is a little risky.
