so Xavins trait reads One Power Set at a Time: If Xavin is on click #1 or #6 at the beginning of your turn, you may turn his dial to any one of click #2-#5. At the end of your turn, if Xavin is not KO'd, return him to the click he began the turn on.
So i wondered could we have a non shadow pact click who can dodge mystics damage while his/her trait is active?
You could push him, and if he's still not KO'ed by the beginning of your next turn, he'd return to click 1 or 6. I don't see how Mystics would be treated any differently.

after reading him/her all i could think about was a previous match my black adam and family vs a mystics wildcard/bag man team. i have always disliked mystics abuse teams and liked runaways so i think i heard maniacal laughing when i read that trait.
You turn him back to where he started where he began at the end of your turn. If he's not ko'd the mystics damage would still happen but doesnt matter since he can simply heal of sorts.
On your last click (#6) and already have a token? Change into The Thing (#2), charge and pick up a heavy object along the way to place the finishing on the In-Betweener. You'll take 2 damage from the Mystics feedback (#4) then resolve your action by applying pushing damage (#5). Your turn is now ended.

He goes back to click #1 or #6 at the end of your turn, not at the beginning of your next turn, so your opponent's turn actions don't come into play. I would say if they are running mystics or whatever, they would try to get him off of click #1(or#6), so he can't pull that trick on them so much. Which could be a good way to get your other pieces in position since they might be focused on Xavin, making him doubly useful.
