There is no way Michael Bay can ruin this thread for us!
Oh wait, I just ruined it.
Go Ninja, go!
I'm the one who steps from the shadows, all trenchcoat and cigarette and arrogance, ready to deal with the madness. Oh, I've got it all sewn up. I can save you. If it takes the last drop of your blood, I'll drive your demons away. I'll kick them in the bollocks and spit on them when they're down and then I'll be gone back into darkness, leaving only a nod and a wink and a wisecrack. I walk my path alone... who would walk with me?
Who else is ready for the penny to be obsolete and taken out of circulation?
You know it!

TaT's and my Dad is an avid Numismatist. He specializes in pennies. He woule have mixed reactions to the downfall of the penny. It would make his collection more valuable on the whole, but it would be similar to hearing that Heroclix is going to go under again for you or I.

There are a number of people out there just hoarding tons of copper pennies due to them being worth more for their copper than the face value of the coins. These people are praying for the day that the government cancels them as they will be able to cash in a fortune.

Except once everyone starts pawning off all that copper the price will start to plummet. I actually have some copper I need to take to the scrap yard maybe I should get on that.

This is what I am wondering as well. Would sales tax go up or go down. Going up wouldn't be very helpful for the economy.
