I played a game last night with Sentinels and S.H.I.E.L.D. as a team.
(Gotta catch 'em all!)
A few rules questions came up…
"The Sentinel's large size means that standard characters do not block line of fire to or from
a Sentinel.... Sentinels and characters on elevated terrain can fire on each other as if they
were on the same terrain level...."
1) Can a Sentinel (S) fire over blocking terrain (b) to hit an opponent (O), like an elevated
figure can?
_________
_S___b_O_
_________
2) Can a Sentinel fire on an opponent with Stealth who is on the other side of hindering
terrain (h), like an elevated figure can?
_________
_S___h_O_
_________
3) Can a Sentinel fire at an opponent on the other side of elevated terrain (e)?
_____eeee___
_S___eeee_O_
_____eeee___
4) When adding Enhancement to a Sentinel's damage, does it apply to both shots of a multi-attack,
or just one? If just one, is it the first shot, or can the Sentinel choose?
5) When adding the S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability to a Sentinel's damage, does it apply to both shots
of a multi-attack, or just one? If just one, is it the first shot, or can the Sentinel choose?
6) Sentinels are not affected by Shapechange, should that apply to the Skrull team ability as well?
Even if the rules don't currently support some of these tactics, it's something that the judges
(and WizKids) may want to consider having added to the errata/FAQ.
1) Can a Sentinel (S) fire over blocking terrain (b) to hit an opponent (O), like an elevated figure can?
No, the Sentinel's Line of Fire will be blocked by the Barrier. A grounded Sentinel will fire upon a grounded opposing figure...Line of Fire to/from will be treated as grounded to grounded.

2) Can a Sentinel fire on an opponent with Stealth who is on the other side of hindering terrain (h), like an elevated figure can?
No, a grounded Sentinel will just ignore figure bases for the purposes of Line of Fire (except for the target itself). This means that the hindering terrain will be treated as Blocking for the purposes of Line of Fire to that opopsing Stealthed figure.

3) Can a Sentinel fire at an opponent on the other side of elevated terrain (e)?
Nope. Line of Fire will be blocked by the Blocking terrain wall.

4) When adding Enhancement to a Sentinel's damage, does it apply to both shots of a multi-attack,
or just one? If just one, is it the first shot, or can the Sentinel choose?
Enhancement will apply to both attacks of the Sentinel's special Multi-Attack Action.

5) When adding the S.H.I.E.L.D. team ability to a Sentinel's damage, does it apply to both shots of a multi-attack, or just one? If just one, is it the first shot, or can the Sentinel choose?
The SHIELD team ability will only apply to one of the attacks. It can be chosen and is declared on the specific attack.

6) Sentinels are not affected by Shapechange, should that apply to the Skrull team ability as well?
You'd think. But as the rules state now... a Sentinel will not be affected by Shapechange, but will be affected by Skrull team ability.
Also, here are some more questions...
7) If a Sentinel grabs a figure that was holding an object, what happens to the object?
- Does it fall to the square that the figure previously occupied?
- Is it destroyed? (With rubble placed on the square.)
- Does it get removed from the game entirely?
8) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, must 2 different capture attempts be made? If so, who decides which figure is released on a capture attempt?
9) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it release them both at the same time? (While back at it's starting ares, of course.)
10) Can a Sentinel decide to just drop a captured figure?
- If it had 2 captured figures, could it drop them both?
- Would this be an action?
11) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it still make a running shot?
12) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it still transport a friendly figure, via flying?
13) Can a Sentinel capture a friendly figure? (And possibly provide transport or protection.)
7) If a Sentinel grabs a figure that was holding an object, what happens to the object?
- Does it fall to the square that the figure previously occupied?
- Is it destroyed? (With rubble placed on the square.)
- Does it get removed from the game entirely?
Nice question! I'd say that the figure would still hold the object. And both that figure and object are considered 'out of play'. If the figure is rescued, he would still be holding that object.

8) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, must 2 different capture attempts be made? If so, who decides which figure is released on a capture attempt?
Yes, two different attempts must be made. The rescuer must declare which figuer is being rescued in a rescue attempt.

9) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it release them both at the same time? (While back at it's starting ares, of course.)
No, only 1 can be released per action.

10) Can a Sentinel decide to just drop a captured figure?
- If it had 2 captured figures, could it drop them both?
- Would this be an action?
No, the Sentinel can only voluntarily release these figures in his starting area when scoring points

11) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it still make a running shot?
Yes, in fact... when a Sentinel has two captured figures, it can ONLY make Ranged Combat Actions.

12) If a Sentinel has 2 captured figures, can it still transport a friendly figure, via flying?
Yes. A Sentinel can carry one friendly figure while controlling/holding 2 captured opposing figures.

13) Can a Sentinel capture a friendly figure? (And possibly provide transport or protection.)
I would vote that the object is dropped in the square that the target of the capture attempt was in. The capture only says that the figure is out of play, but then they obviously didn't think of this scenario (most of the time an adjacent SS figure with an object will hit in the turn they get there if possible through taxiing, Charge, HSS). I think it makes sense that if the Sentinel (or Sinestro Construct) can capture the figure so well that they cannot struggle (i.e. removed from play for the capture duration) then it can shake any objects out of it's target before putting them into its capture fanny pack or wherever it keeps them.
14) If 3 different Sentinels have each captured a figure, can veteran Boomerang, who can make a triple ranged attack, make a rescue attempt against each Sentinel?
See, I opened my response with "I would vote...", saying that if I had a vote it would be for dropping it. I knew what concensus you were thinking of (i.e. wait for an answer) but I wanted to let folks know where I stood while we wait.
Oooo! A multi-target ranged attack rescue attempt question! We're getting some good stuff in this thread!
Hmmm. I dunno which way this one should go. The rules state:
A friendly character must then make a standard combat attack against the Sentinel.
But this can be either close or ranged combat, and it deals no damage to the Sentinel. I could see them ruling that the figure has to focus on a single rescue attempt, or saying that all targets of this attack must be rescue attempts (i.e. you cannot rescue a figure and deal 1 damage to another target). Tsannik?
Back to the barrier issue...if the Sentinel can't target grounded figures over a barrier then the same is true? Do soaring and elevated characters target over the barrier? What am trying to figure is, if you have made a barrier around a sentinel who/where can it be targeted it with ranged attacks?
#14 was noted as being completely open for interpretation, currently. Heck, I'm not sure which way to go on that one. I have a (very) slight leaning toward not allowing more than one rescue attempt per figure per turn (no Flurry either), but that's mostly because the Sentinel is limited to one capture attempt per turn. Since they don't get their multi-shot for captures, others should not get a multi-shot rescue attempt. If the judges forum cares, that's my opinion.
And, that brings up more questions:
15) Can a figure (BtB with a Sentinel) with Flurry, make more than one rescue attempt? And, would it have to be against the same or different target, or could the player choose?
16) Can a Sentinel use it's special multi-shot to make more that one rescue attempt?
- Could it be used to rescue 2 different figures? On the same or different Sentinels?
- Could the second attempt be used to rescue the same figure if the first attempt failed?
17) Can a Sentinel use one multi-attack to rescue a captured figure and the other to attack a figure?
18) When using their multi-attack, does the Sentinel have to declare what the second attack will be before he finds out the result of the fist attack?
More info...
Sentinel rules sheet: "A friendly character must then make a standard combat attack against the Sentinel." (Emphasis mine.)
I would postulate and propose that using a Sentinel's multi-attack, Flurry, Hypersonic Speed, or multi-targetting (more than one ranged arrow) would NOT be considered a "standard" attack. Since the Sentinel has to give up everything else to make the capture attempt, I don't see how it would be unfair to the opponent that his figure should have to give up everything else to rescue the figure.
Otherwise, BCF would allow a character to make a rescue attempt and dmage the Sentinel at the same time, since it would follow the rules on BCF to inflict that damage instead of the normal value of zero.
I disagree with the B/C/F example, but I do agree that there ought to be a clarification that explains the "standard" action for rescuing. Granted, i could see someone using Running Shot, Charge or a Hit-n-Run HSS attack to rescue.
