Hey, folks, just wanna know if anyone of you out there has used Rookie Hawk in a 200 pt tourney before.
I mean with his stats and all, he's a real kick-a$$ in a 200pt game. But its getting to the ULTIMATE second click that's a chore.
If I move him first turn, then push next turn, and rest the 3rd turn. I'd only be able to attack with him in the 4th! By then, I'm sure my opponent has alot of leverage gained over me, in terms are board control and all.
So is he really worth considering in a 200pt team? Att 12 with SuperStr is really something.
Just wanna know what you guys out there feel about this character?
Yes, I would have to say that he is worth fielding. But there is a better way to get him to his second click. Just put him beside a characters with poison and you get to use him on his ULTIMATE second click.
My fav is to put V Hawk beside LE Man-Bat (Kirk Langstrom). He takes one click of damage from the poison and you get to taxi him in, charge then hit for 3 damage. It is not like it is hard for any from of Hawk to miss on his second click in.
Unfortuneately, the poison only affects opposing figures. If you mix universes, try a pulse wave. A really odball way to pull it off is to have Hawk base someone then EE that fig, doing a splash damage(although this is really unreliable).
Sorry, that won't work. Poison only does damage to OPPOSING figures, not your own. Here is it's text from the PAC: "At the beginning of your turn, this character delivers 1 click of damage to each opposing character in an adjacent square."
I usually just push him myself. Sure, you can't use him until turn 4, but he becomes such a threat that your opponet has to worry about, he will have to adjust to deal with him. Making your opponent react to your actions is a key to winning in my opinion.

Could you hit him with incapcitate? Turn one move him a space, hit him with incapacitate, which does a click to him. Turn two rest. turn three attack. =]
I checked over the Powers card and the FAQ there isn't anything in the rules about using it to target freindly characters. Unless someone knows otherwise?
You can never target your own figures with an attack, so Incapcitate won't work. Pulse Wave has rather unique rules, as long as more than one character is within range, it affects all of them without technically targeting them. So, Pulse Wave works for Hawk, Dove, et. al., as long as at least two figures are affected by the attack, even if they are all yours.

Unforutantely, the only way you can give Hawk damage using you own team is to either push him or use Pulse Wave while in range of more than one figure.
The incapacitate example requires a close or ranged combat attack, so you Incapacitating your own figure is out, and the same goes with your own Con Artitst trying to spank him. Doesn't work.
Energy Explosion splash damage is an option, but it puts a relatively weak starting figure in range of being seriously spanked if you miss the attack.
