If, for example, I pop the Gauntlet on Bruce Banner and then AE him into 'Spear' Hulk, does the gauntlet stay attached? Technically Banner is being removed from the game, right?

If it affects a character, it affects it's replacement. Feats, the gauntlet, outwits, pretty much everything carries over, no matter how the character is replaced.
