Ive read alot about people who can't decide wheter Galactus or Zira is most effective as 300 (compared to each other) in IG 8 event...

(And to those not knowing it is 500 modern all figs most be from GG, IH or CW)

And yes, I know that we can't know yet since we dont know the complete CW set, but still Im curious:

Galactus or Ziran at 300 pts cost?

Im not sure that picking Galactus or Ziran at 300 points will be the best option. I have yet to give this tournament a thought on to what I want to play, and like you said we don't know the dials for choas wars. But it should be fun.

Ziran's better because of multiattack.

Ziran, hands down.

Ziran can't test at 300, has no Phasing Teleport, and has no Impervious, which means when he takes a big hit he will be guaranteed to take damage. On an indoor map he'll get locked up quick by walls and blocking.

I'd be curious to see what 200 points Ziran will be backed with - no gauntlet according to build restrictions, but I suspect a well rounded team will just decimate him.

Silver Surfer + 2 AIM Renegades will get in a first strike for 6 damage (reduced to 4), Leaving Ziran with 11av/4 damage PB. Adam Warlock can Outwit the PB on Ziran, leaving Ziran to deal 3 damage with 2 multi-attacks.

Really, a good Hydra/Ranged team makes Ziran moot. Even if Ziran has Dr. Strange and Enhancement of his own, he's just not the guaranteed win that so many people want, especially without the gauntlet.

Neither Ziran or Galactus is going to shine at 500 points. That is the worst possible point build to play them in because it leaves them with a weak dial against a 500 point enemy team. The primary reason these two guys are broken is due to through insane 600 point abilities (herald and tests). At 300 points they are just strong offensive figures that can be melted by a well built team. If I was going to play one of them it would be Galactus because a 19 impervious is twice as hard to get hit as a 18 invun is.

I'll agree that it's Ziran in a straight Galactus vs. Ziran battle, but Month 8 is gonna be chase Thanos and 150 points of more stuff that kills your figures, probably involving Mole Man and a Monster-keyword figure, since Doppleganger doesn't fit the format.
