WHAT DOESN'T KILL ME MAKES ME STRANGER: Give The Joker a double power action. Roll a d6 and subtract 1 from the result of each friendly character on the map and add 1 to the result for each opposing character on the map. Heal The Joker of damage equal to the result.
Let us say Joker starts the game with 5 teammates and plays against a team of 8 dudes. Mid-game Joker has 4 buddies left (one KO) and the opponant has 6 left. Joker uses his double power action and he rolls a 3. Would he have -1 before adding up the 6 and making him heal 5, or would he cap out at zero and heal 6?
He would heal 4; Joker is always friendly to himself, so you'd still -1 from the roll no matter what, even if he's the last man standing on your force.
Heal 5. You don't "check" to make sure it's a valid number of clicks he can be healed mid-calculation, only at the end of the computation.
Thats not what i meant. I meant, would it cap at zero because it treats zero as a wall, or would you count past zero into the negatives?

Thanks. You get it

Why wouldn't you? The power doesn't say minimum of 0. Even if it did, you wouldn't apply that minimum until you had the final value and it was less than 0.

Good call. I completely forgot this...and I'd just pointed this out to somebody

Note that the Rule of Minimums only applies to combat values. The amount Joker heals isn't covered by this. If the Joker has 5 other friendly characters and one opposing character, and rolls 1, he'll be healing for 1+1-6=-4, which is 4 clicks of damage. At least, I can see no reason why it wouldn't end up damaging him.

I would think because healing is turning the dial counterclockwise, and a character is not considered healed unless the dial is turned counterclockwise (summarizing 2 sentences from the rulebook). So turning it clockwise is not healing, and his power states he is healed.
