Can they be outwitted?

Because you can counter combat abilities, I would think you could counter Improved _____. From page 17 of the 2012 Rulebook (quoted in part, emphasis added):

Improved Movement is a combat ability. So is Improved Targeting.

Basically the + symbol tells you the character has one (or maybe even both) type of Improved ability. Just like symbol tells you the character has the Indomitable ability.

I thought so to, but in the 2012 pac article 2 this line confuses me.

Now with Improved Movement we add the ability to ignore all terrain types for movement as a Trait.

Articles are not rules documents. The rule book (link in my signature) defines Improved Movement and Targeting as combat abilities, not traits.

I can see how it would be confusing, but these kinds of articles are simply meant as kind of heads up and to briefly explain the new stuff... always refer to the actual rules, though, when getting into the nitty gritty interpretation.

thanks, I just wanted to be sure. I just got the DKR starter today, I was kinda dissapointed that there wasn't any UHO in the starter
