hey guys, i was thinking of building a 500 point team using Ganthet (200), Sinestro (135), Kilowog (145) and the Gl ATA (5*3=15). as i got to thinking, i grew confused as to how the ATA and both Sinestro's and Ganthet's multi target would interact.
any ideas??
an example of what i am thinking is: sinestro targets 2 opposing characters to attack. then ganthet follows suit.
i am wondering how the ATA would modify ganthet's attack value?
Green Lantern Honor Guard
Whenever a character using this team ability attacks, modify their attack value by +1 for each other friendly character that attacked the same target this turn while using this team ability.
After Sinestro attacks the two Opposing characters Ganthet would follow with a +1 (Friendly Sinestro, he has a hidden agenda by the way) towards each target. And if Kilowog attacks either character he would have a +2 (Friendly Sinestro & Ganthet).
i now have i different question along the same lines:
sinestro attacks 2 targets using the ATA, then kilowog attacks one of the 2 targets. what happens when ganthet attacks both targets now?
From the PG:
When a modifier during an attack is based on a figure meeting a particular criteria (usually the targeted character), then that modifier only applies to the targeted character(s) but would not apply to any targeted characters that did not meet the criteria.
So Ganthet's AV will be modified different for each target.
ok wait...so ganthet start with 11 attack. if A was attacked twice, and B was attacked once; when ganthet attacked both, would i compare 13 to A's def and 12 to B's def???

i am mildly confused...
You compare 11 + 2d6 + modifier to each appropriate character. The only change is that, depending on the character and how often they were attacked by other characters using this ATA, that modifier could vary.
So, yeah, even if both targets had the same defense value, you might need different minimum 2d6 results to hit them.
If it helps, pretend that instead the modifer subtracts from the target's defense value (it isn't, but the effect isn't too disimilar).
