Newb Question- Losing perplex bonus after damage when still on dial?
Ok sorry I really looked for this answer.
Figure A has Perplex and uses it on himself. Figure A takes damage, moving him x clicks. Figure A still has perplex showing on the new click. Does figure A still have the bonus from the perplex from before he took damage?
If not, is it so that anytime a clix' dial is turned, they lose all powers and then immediately gain them back, (even if they are the same?)
Aaaand if so, does a character lose his outwit target if he keeps outwit after taking damage? Aaaand if a character outwits a power my character has, does that outwit go away after my character takes damage, even if after taking damage I keep the same powers?
It helps to look over the actual wording of the power:
PERPLEX: Give this character a free action to modify by +1 or –1 any combat value of a target character until the beginning of your next turn. A character using this power must be within 10 squares and line of fire to the target. If a target character is damaged or healed, the effect of Perplex on that character ends immediately.

Just to be clear, figures do not lose all their powers and gain them back when a dial is turned. Perplex bonuses are lost when the target's dial is healed or damaged only because Perplex says so. It isn't a general rule of the game.
Keep in mind that it is the target's dial that is important here. Here's an example. Ultraguy has Perplex on his first and third click. On his first click, Ultraguy Perplexes Ultragirl's defense up. He is then dealt two damage. The fact that his dial changed is not important, as long as he still has perplex. The fact that the two damage passed over a click that didn't have Perplex is also not important, as long as he shows Perplex when the damage is applied. Now, Ultragirl takes damage and the Perplex modifier is gone.
Another very subtle subtlety is that there is a difference between "is damaged or healed" and "the dial moved". 99% of the time, the only reason to move a dial in HeroClix is damage or healing, but there's that nagging 1%. A very few powers cause the dial to move without it being damage or healing. Xavin's special power that lets him pick a click to use during his turn is probably the most obvious example of this. Since that turning isn't damage or healing, it doesn't remove the Perplex modifier.
I don't mean to drudge up an old topic, but I found a relevant situation today, with Xavin.
If Xavin moves to the perplex click, uses perplex on an enemy, and then at the end of his turn changes back to click one, and losing perplex, does the perplex effect end?

Yes. He no longer has perplex showing, so its effects end.

Always quote the power, it makes it easier to answer and oftimes, the answer will pop out

I hope I have been understandable... Thank you!
If a character has 4 clicks of outwit in a row and takes damage, as long as Outwit never goes away, the outwit remains in effect
But, if it goes Outwit, Close Combat Expert, Outwit, Outwit, he lost it, even if only briefly so the Outwitted power returns

If your figure has Outwit/CCE/Outwit and gets hit for one, they stop on a click without Outwit and the effect is lost. If they get hit for two they turn from a click with Outwit to a click with Outwit with no stop in between so Outwit is not lost and the effect remains. The power is only lost if the dial is turned to a click without it and stops.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
Other than powers that say to stop turning the dial, you essentially ignore anything on the clicks between the one you started on and the one you ended on.

So if the character who used Perplex is KO'd or it's Perplex is no longer showing on it's dial, the power goes away? Will Outwiting someones Perplex remove the Modifier or just stop them from using Perplex the following turn?

1) The power is lost at that point so it ends.
2) Countering apower rwmocesnit from the dial, so it will end.
